I'm so sorry—love, backstreetboy. God forgive me.
Think it's high time Microsoft gets its own subforum on here just like Apple - till then this thread must do. The new Satya Nadella Microsoft is on fire!

Excel getting co-authoring

https://mspoweruser.com/microsoft-excel-is-getting-one-of-the-best-office-features-soon-on-windows/

Microsoft is bringing one of the best features of Office to Excel on Windows. The company today announced in a blog post that it’s bringing real-time co-authoring to Excel on Windows desktops. The feature is coming to Office Insiders in the Fast Ring today, but it will be coming to all Office users in the near future.
Great news. Google had it since 2012 so great to see MS catching up.

May 2 MS Education event

https://techcrunch.com/2017/04/12/microsoft-education-event/

Invites have just dropped for Microsoft’s latest press conference. Details are scant for the “Learn What’s Next” event happening May 2 in New York City, but between the title and the big #MicrosoftEDU hashtag that graces the crudely colored artwork, this looks to be focused on the company’s next big play at the education sector.
They'll detail the new Windows 10 Cloud SKU to take on Chromebooks. Hopefully there's a ARM version also in the pipeline for Raspberry pi type devices. It'll only run Windows store apps.

Tabbed explorer. FINALLY! Linux had that for ages. Love the new take on it though every app can be tabbed if devs support it.

They'll probably show it off at Build 2017 next month. It's been highly requested so doubt they'll not have anything in the pipeline.
The most requested item on the list is to remove forced updates, but I think Microsoft is constantly driving in opposite direction and will ignore it again. They can't be successful in continuously upsetting users in my view.
