The Middle East Conflict Thread

It is funny, but we may be in agreement, except for which came first: the hen or the egg. I don't want to waste time arguing about that.

What I am saying is: Let us be fair. If it okay for Hamas to rain rockets into Israel, let us say it is okay for Israel to rain rockets into Hamas territory. But what is happening is that some people want us to pretend to be outraged when Israel fires rockets, while staying mum when Hamas does likewise.

To take it a step further, maybe an all-out war is the solution: Winner takes all.

Sure, I would be OK with that. Let's see ... the Arabs tried it in 1958... and again in 1967. Anyone remember what happened?

The palestinians and the Jews have the same ancestor, so they are alike in many respects.
A chap that works for me harps these comments all the time. Jews and Palestinians are all Arabs, he claims.:)

I am quiet sure that I don't agree with your guy, but if one cannot take something down , maybe we should let one spice things up :)

Always thought that Arab was the race of people of the Middle East,(including State of Isreal, and Armenia, and other countriies in Middle East, where Islam is the main religion.

Basing opinion that regardless of what religion the "Arab" chooses, the look of being an Arab is the same as a Jew, Christian, or Muslim.

Physically, all of the above have the same facial and body features.

Can a jew admit that the ethnic group is Arab, (even if you live anywhere in the world), and the religion is Hebrew, or the slang, "Jew".
Source: Can a Jew also be a Arab?

Again putting words into my mouth but please keep it up, your credibility is going out the window. Go read my posts

At least I had some to start with LOL!

Would you then care to elaborate on what you meant by "Who came first? Clearly the Jews, When did Islam start? After Judaism did. Not so?"? You surely do not mean that Jews were the only inhabitants of the area through history?

Muslims and jews lived together thosands of years ago in harmony. Untill the crusades began when everything changed it. Its simply a war, between Palestinians and Israelis not jews and muslims or arabs and jews or or or. Its a war between two Countries. Both who are doing terrible things which eventually affects their people. Look at it here in SA are the Jews and Muslims at loggerheads with each other? I think not.....

I personally think it is very difficult to tell. For instance: Are Afghanis Arab? How about Indian? I know of many Pakistanis who have responded very angrily upon being called Indian, while it is very difficult to tell them apart from Indians. I think Indian muslims look just like Arab muslims; and they both look like Afghani and Pakistani muslims. Do they have the same race? And is it Arab? At the end of the day, I think it is all about self-determination.

Well the Romans actually dispersed the Jews around 60 AD resulting in the Jewish Diaspora.
The problems however emerged when the Jews started to return to Palestine to recreate the original State of Israel they lost to the Romans in the 19th and then the 20th centuries. The crusades were in the middle ages and had nothing to do with the root cause of the problem - two ethnic groups of people wanting to occupy the same territory.
