I do not have any problem with Muslim people, but I do have a big problem with terrorism. Wish you would also take a stands against terrorism.

I am against terrorism, who would not be? ... but we going in circles again ... dont think Xarog, Aqua, or any of the other people are saying terrorism is right !? Hell they are fighting against it

Did not answer my question ..... it was just a curious question if you had Muslim friends? Ill take the answer as no ...

not trying to fight or argue or anything with this question but just wondering:

Marine, BBSA and co. the pro-Israel side of the fence ... do you people have Muslim friends by any chance? ... reason i ask, is sometimes we generalise about people and let media etc mould our perceptions, at times it does look like it goes beyond just Israel/Palestine, and it becomes hatred towards Muslim people... just just curious if you guys have had social dealings with Muslim people as friends

EDIT: sorry im OT a bit here

Yes, I have several. both Muslim and Jewish. My beef is not with the Muslim people, but with extremists. And I have the same anger towards Christian and Hindu extremists who cause innocent deaths. I have some great chats with the Muslim restaurant owner up the road where I get my Bunny Chow from! :D

If you read my posts carefully you will see that I am careful to distinguish between the Palestinian people (Muslim people in general) and Hamas (Extremists). I don't believe they should all be painted with the same brush.

On the other hand... if you read the Pro-hamas people's threads carefully, you will notice that they usually lump all Israelis together.

JK8 is a prime example with his refusal to even set foot in a business owned by Jewish people or having Jewish signs. His, and others, antisemitism here is pretty obvious.

Thanks Gary :), i think the worrying part with all of this is people will generalise on both sides, (immaterial if their cause is right or wrong) ...

I agree, I am also dead against nations calling for the destruction of Israel and I dont see any Islamic nations supporting Israel.

/sigh

And so the Jews vs Muslims debate continues.

Guys this is not our fight, leave it be. Let the whole lot of them kill each other off and rid the world of this whole Gaza mess. It's not our problem. I have asked before if this is the Holy war and everyone said no. But I clearly see both sides of religion going at it all over the world....

Makes one think.

Just nuke the whole Gaza and get it over with, done, klaar, finish.

Something I am wondering about lately is this.. Whatever the justification for this war and yadda yadda yah, in the end there IS a ton of building reduced to ruble a civilian crisis.

Since Palestine is NOT a sovereign nation and Gaza is under military siege/blockade who is expected to pick up the bill for rebuilding? These aren't exactly 2 or 3 story building either. Is the Israeli public prepared for paying for redevelopment? and if not is it justified not to? Before answering check whats happening in Iraq and Afghanistan and the 'aid' that's suppose to get in vs REAL developments there wrt how people are living before vs after.

Pitbull you cannot just sit on the fence, you have to decide for yourself what you stand for and stand up for that cause or fight.
It does concern me as I dont think it is morally right for Hamas, Iran, Syria and whoever else to keep threatening Israel with destruction.
I know in my heart it is wrong and this is what makes me back Israel.
If Hamas stopped firing rockets and Israel broke the ceasefire I would have an issue with them but they didnt, it was Hamas and now Lebanon.

YOU complained about attacks against civilians. YOU claimed that Israel was a moral nation who would never do such evil things. I show you quite clearly that they are absolutely no better than terrorists, and you turn around and say, "but that's not the point!"

Seriously, get real.

Please show proof that the Israelis use their own citizens as human shields since you say they are the same as Hamas

So if you get in a fight with a death cult nutter who wants to kill your family we ahould all sit back and 'leave it be'. Pity for you then

Just quoting your own words... of course if you want to retract them.... ???
Good luck with that ;)

Maybe Iran? Syria? They funded this war so let them foot the bill, but that will never happen.

True,

So lets just nuke the whole lot of them and then there is no problem.
This is turning into a WW3. Lebanon now joined in which means someone else will join Israel and before long the whole world is going at it.

Nuke the whole lot of them and there is no more a problem or a threat

Yes, we should be careful to avoid this.

But I will not refrain from painting all of Hamas in the same light. Anybody who belongs to that organization is a terrorist in my book.

Even their charter says so! ;)

If the said business is known for supporting Israel I do not see a problem with this. I have plenty friends of all color, creed, orientation & religions and it never changed my relation with them. A difference in opinion is something that should be celebrated and explored rather than demonized particularly in the world where we live where propaganda is rife and no parties are ever completely right.

That being said, where funds are clearly being sent and admitted by the said owner there is nothing wrong with taking your business elsewhere. This is a democratic country after all.

I also said... if that were the case it would be acceptable.

But that is not what he said... he said he walks out of every store which even displays Hebrew or Jewish writing and symbols. In other words, he refuses to have anything to do with Jewish people.

Excellent point Alan.

Go look at 2006 reports, there are a handful which point out Israeli military installations within civilian areas. Unlike in Gaza, there is also extreme journalistic censorship in Israel that journalists have to sign before entering Israel. The are not allowed to report certain things else they get hauled off like one or two at the moment in the current war.
