At 4m0s "Now this is not the nastiest car I've ever driven because obviously I've been in a Nissan Micra"

Wow. What an improvement from the original micra. Looks good in my eyes

Nice car.

I will barely be able to afford it thou. A few months later I definitely wont be able to afford it, when the exchange rate goes to **** again or Nissan increases the prices. It feels like sometimes these companies in SA increase prices just for ****s and giggles. So whoever buys this car, enjoy it and enjoy it for me.

Looks good and even comes with Apple carplay.. but at +/- 250k I dunno.. it would have to be 175k+ entry to stand a chance despite all features so likely most of those features will be stripped by local company to make lower entry in a market where price is starting to matter a lot

PS. Old one is 160k.. but I seriously doubt they will hit that or expect to sell the new one at that entry price

FIRST NEW NISSAN MICRA ROLLS OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE

Production of the new Nissan Micra has officially kicked off, with the first cars rolling off the line this week.

The new, fifth-generation Micra is manufactured at Flins, France, at a plant operated by Nissan’s Alliance partner, Renault. That makes the little hatchback – which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show last year – the first Nissan passenger car to be built in a Renault plant in Europe.

Flins, to the west of Paris, is a factory that also produces the Renault Clio and Zoe.

The new Micra is a radical progression from the long-in-the-tooth model that it is replacing, and will be available with a choice of three engines – two small-capacity petrol mills and one 1,5-litre diesel.

When will we see this new supermini in local dealerships? Well, Nissan South Africa has yet to officially announce its plans, but hopefully we’ll know more after vehicle goes on sale in Europe in February.

Not as yet but would be stupidly dumb move not to. I feel this new Micra will hit SA not long after it hits in EU-land.

We see how the Clio 4 pulls in great numbers locally.
