Hhmm, don't know where you are looking, but I do find their individual titles, which is R3 more expensive than Take2 at R139 (Take2 is R136).

PLUS, depending on where you are you have to pay shipping, which is between R30-40 (the last time I bought from them), which you have to reckon into the price, so no btgames is not cheaper, since I am in CT and go and pick up my items directly from Take2, i.e. no shipping.

You can pick it up from BT Games in Cape Town too. Take 2 is only a more viable option really if you 1) live in Cape Town and 2) are situated closer to Montague Gardens than Tygervalley.

Ah yes, forgot they opened for quite a while in Tygervalley now and that my complaints about BT being JHB-only was adhered to

Is it worth buying an existing account?

I depends really, what is on the account, what has been done, items, gold, etc...
And most importantly to me, is the account 'clean', like no botting or flags for inappropriate behaviour, known gold farming, etc.

It's difficult to know the above though.

Plus, account sellers are quite often scammers. The best is to know the person you are buying from and perhaps physically check the account out, check it with ArenaNet first, etc.

Selling accounts are strictly speaking against the ANet's EULA, so not really the most legal of things to do according to them.

Aren't the birthday presents based on character age though? The reason I ask is that my account is now 13 months old - and I didn't get anything - but my oldest character should be hitting a year in the next week or so - so I'm keeping a close eye on her inventory.

Try not to let that happen

I would assume that the pressie would appear as soon as you have an open space, but I'd prefer not to test the theory

If your inventory is full, you must make space and the pressie will appear the next time you login.
