I would buy an xbox if it wasnt a complete waste of money for me. I know that its a media center and gaming console, but my pc already does that better. I understand why someone who doesn't have a proper pc would buy one, i also understand why someone with too much money would buy one. Unfortunately i don't fall in either of those cathegories.

Well, me and many other people do. We find it more viable to buy an XBOX than upgrading our PCs. Plus, many people these days don't have desktop PCs, but rather laptops. As a PC "fanboi", you'd know that laptops aren't the most gaming-friendly machines, let alone upgradeable...

I need a proper pc because i render architectural walkthroughs, the fact that the requirements also makes it the best thing for gaming is not something i`m going to complain about.
The thread is whether or not PC is better for gaming and imo it is

1: Genres not available on xbox
2: Cheaper games
3: Freeware
4: Lan parties
5: MMO's
6: A catalogue dating back to 1980
7: Better hardware
cons
1: expensive if you have to have the best
2: cant sit on a couch while playing(you can if you set it up like that but most of us don't)
3: 2 player games on 1 keyboard really suck
4: the problems that come with a pc if you don't know what you are doing

5: MMO's (just not yet)

sorry i'm a bit late for a reply - but the reason i said that was
MH answered that guy "as if the xbox can do everything he said" - including "surfing the web"
i wasn't "spouting BS", i was simply correcting MH.

The reason I mention Skate, was because EA did something very innovative with the controls, which would, quite frankly, be impossible on a keyboard/mouse combo. Sure, you could get hold of a gamepad and play it on a PC, but how many PC gamers actually DO have gamepads? EA knew this and decided to keep Skate a "console exclusive".
