The obligatory PC vs. XBOX thread...

but that's the thing. It's not just to play a game. I will always a pc no matter what. Burning cd, converting movies, browsing the net, watching movies and work sometimes even.

If I have my pc for all that stuff why spend the extra to buy a console for the "privilege" to buy overpriced games. Doesn't make sense, does it?
Again, my first post in this thread said something similar. A console is not a PC replacement.

post it please and include the cost of a LCD too ..... I'm curious now ;)

Without the lcd of course. It's not like you include the cost of your tv do you?

TV is useless. I didn't have a tv till a little while ago. Only got it so my GF has something to while I'm on my pc.

but you have to include the LCD ... who wants to upgrade their PC and go back to using a CRT?

I wanna see an Xbox run 3dmark - even the old 2006 Edition!

You still haven't answered my question.

LCD excluded, I'd like to know what you could get for R6000 that would give visuals that much better than the 360?

Console games are actually not that overpriced. Take for instance a movie at a cinema: You pay R45 (ignoring all the different movie-club options) for a ticket to enjoy a movie of roughly 1,5 hours. That equates to R30/hour.

Now, the average XBOX game can provide you with entertainment for around 20 hours at roughly R600. That, again, equates to R30/hour.

That's the price of entertainment, my friend...

100% possible. Unfortunately it will never happen :(

Again...how about addressing the replies to your claims before carrying on like a true fanboy and bringing up senseless crap.

or the same game on pc for R350 almost half price. Get real.

I think you're being naive now.

but gaming with an Xbox on a normal telly is still ok compared to a CRT.

I lan`d ut2003 on a 400mhz PII when my friends all had P4s, still had a good time and kicked their asses. I don't rate my gaming experience according to what my friends have... thats stupid.

whats the past tense of lan?

well there should be one :D, so it should be local area networked?

Anyway, i like strategy games, and you can't beat wasting the weekend away with pizza and beers playing age of empires 2 without siege weapons.

I think i'm gonna hurry this flamefest up a bit...

wii is for kids
PS3 is for the nostalgic PS 1 & 2 gamers
xbox are for tossers!
PC is for the l337
