The poms play extremely negative cricket when they are on the back foot.
-Extremely slow over rates (yesterday they bowled 11 overs in just over a hour)
-defensive fields, yesterday cook had 9 players on the boundary
-slow batting. They batting at 2rpo, just to drag the game and prevent there from being a result.

Agreed . I remember seeing Anderson taking 9 minutes to bowl an over because he wanted it to be the last over before lunch.

Very disappointing. They might pay in the next series for not sticking the knife into Aus when they had the opportunity
 
Watching now. Will be cool if England with Pietersen make it but they ned to score at more than 6 an over

Cook doesn't seem like the type who could put his foot down as captain much like Clarke. One can only imagine the hell fire that would descend on squad members who tried stunts like this under Waugh or Border's captaincy.

This was supposed to be the series the Poms extracted revenge on the Ausses by playing them off the park and crushing them but their tactics, attitude and general conduct has soured their victory badly. Who would have that it would be the Ausses finishing the series with some respectability after the Warner/Arthur debacles.

That apart, I see that today's game was abandoned workout a ball bowled. Just why they play cricket in England is beyond me.
