1.55pm BSTDefinitely stopped raining now and there is some movement from the groundstaff. Just depends how long it takes to remove these large puddles. The Supersopper is busy at work.

1.45pm BST Better news, it's brighter and looks like the rain has relented, the umpires are having a look now but quite a good dump of water came down, there are large puddles on the covers.

1.35pm BST Hello again everyone, quick update on the weather. I did mention there were heavy showers around today and one has struck so the covers are on, umbrellas are up, and there isn't going to be a start on time for the afternoon session unfortunately, I'll keep you posted.

2.10pm BST Well it looked a bit better but unfortunately another shower has come over the ground so the brollies are back up and the covers have been pinned down again. There are several of these heavy showers in the area so it's just a case of waiting for a good gap in the weather to get the covers off. But if luck's against us it could be a very frustrating afternoon.
 
Good news, everything is drying out and we're going to restart at 2.50pm BST. This delay means we can now go on to 7pm to get as many overs in as possible today.
 
No doubts about the FACT that those worthless pieces of English/SA **** aka the Pommies are praying silently for rain right now :D

This ashes series is a big joke! Probably the worst one in the entire history of cricket. I will punch anyone in the face if they think that the despicable pommies are truly the no.1 test side right now.

You know what irritates me the most? It's a fact that the pommies have a lot of our own homegrown cricketers who are very talented like KP, Trott, etc on their side. They are one of the main reasons why they won a lot of test matches at their own backyards :mad:
