I think my pic is a bit shiity. The outside is dark, but not dried out. Suppose it's the brown vinegar and woestersous I soak it in ?

ok.. the dry bit is very distinct from the wet bit... it should be a more. "Dit moet meer egalig wees. Either jou lamp is the sterk of jou fan is te sterk"

I think the lamp (40watt). Humdity is down, so will take it out. The fan i can do nothing with....

mellerware box you have? There's nothing wrong with that lamp, I had mine in the whole week with my batch... now that i'm thinking about it... the fan might be too weak... it's not drawing the moisture out of the meat so the fan is just drying the outside...

Yep. Mellerware box. The fan does suck... (It's crap). Bought a decent 220AC fan on Bob for cheap, going to build another box sometime...

I was thinking about building a box myself... but then again, I have no need for a bigger box as meat prices are just too expensive :cry:

I hunt once a year, so it will come in handy. This needs to be a tech box, with temperature control, measuring humidity, and maybe a built in back scratcher. :D

Mine does - I reversed it and put the lightbulb at the bottom :D

The fan is also DC now so I can easily vary the speed.

The number of times you've said you've reversed everything in your box is perfectly equal to the amount of times i've explain the purpose of the bulb and fan :D

Ok.... so how do you know when to speed up or slow down the fan speed ? Suppose when a brommer does land you speed it up...
