The Official CLASSIC Mini Thread

dude, i'm in IT, the the thing a step on with my left foot is not wekking lekker.

but thanks, when I phone him, i'll mention it to seem like i know what i'm talking about

Bwahahaha. Fair point. Check under the bonnet (thats the hinged door on the front of the car). Look for a pair of tin plated cylinders thingies against the bulkhead on the L/H side. Usually have white plastic caps. Check if they are full of brake fluid. If one is empty - theres a first clue. It they both full... look for signs of fluid dripping out of one of them.

Mine leaves a wet spot of brake fluid under the car at the rear ... think she might be scared of the dark ... :p

I have to say, the service I get at Dezi's Mini, is just fantastic. (Especially when you compare it to that other workshop  )

Took my mini in yesterday morning around 8, he phoned me around 11h30, done.

Full service, and sorted the clutch out for me. Was that little rubber seal that needed replacing, and he replace that whole arm as well (as per photos below). And steam cleaned the engine. Great work!

So who knows what the estimated cost will be to get that panelbeated, and the whole car resprayed?

knock it out with a hammer and use a nice can of spray paint

but sorry to see that happen, shouldnt be too much i assume around 2k

wife had a boot smash and costed like 2k to knock out and spray

Ag nee:cry:

First Hugh Hefner. Now this??!!! WTF!

Uneconomical to panelbeat that. A professional job by a renowned agency would charge you more than the little gem is worth.
I would find a similar red panel at a breakers yard. That front quarter panel on the A post is going to be a biyaach to do. I wouldn't attempt it at home. But finding a pre-painted panel and removing the old one yourself - would cut 50% of the price a reputable shop will charge you to fix.
