City would have moved a point clear of Manchester United at the top with a win to lead the table at Christmas for the first time since 1929.

I remember that season like it was yesterday. City went on to only win 6 or there remaining 22 fixtures and ended 3rd in the league.

Just kidding, thanks @optajoe for that stat.

Defoe sent off for allegedly leading with his elbow in an aerial challenge. Seemed a bit harsh.

The first goal by Manchester City, the newcastle goalkeeper should've just booted the ball.
Also berbatov has surpassed his goal tally for the past two seasons, 13 goals if the deflected goal counts.
That's impressive, in half the season only.

Also VDV is the best signing this season, well done to Harry.

The deflected goal does scount afaik. And yeah was just gonna mention VDV, what a steal he's been!

So if Chelsea lose to Bolton and hotspurs win, Chelsea will go 6th, that will be ridiculous!
