Cables seem fine ... but there is no conduit from one of the termination points on the ground floor to the 1st floor ... and this is where my issue is going to be, and having to fall back to Powerline adapters

If you copied your old config it would carry over a 100meg limitation on the ethernet interface so check that is set to auto negotiate

Nope, I recreated it ... turns out to be the ISP supplied cable between the ONT and the Mikrotik.

You must be kidding! I can not imagine how bad a short Ethernet cable must be to limit you to 100megs

They probably just supplied a thin 2-pair cable, I've seen it happen before with some routers that get supplied. Cost savings, probably.

This ^. Tt is the flimsiest little cable you've seen in your life, probably 30cm long.

This is the only one I need to sort now with improved powerline adapters or Ethernet (with no conduit)

I do have a potential solution though, which involves moving one of the Decos (and enabling 5Ghz Wifi on the Mikrotik), and not having a cabled backhaul for connection between the Decos from downstairs to upstairs.

Will test it tonight.

Bud it clearly says 100mbps so you not getting more than that. Rate = speed

Bud, that is the whole point ... I need to get 1000Mbps Powerline adapters, as the Powerline adapters are limiting it to 100Mbps

Apologies I was still talking about your ISP Ethernet cable, and saw a pic of your network in your other thread with the powerline issue. On the bright side your Mikrotik is working well

LOL, yeah ... those routers are rock solid. I had the option to take the ISP Archer Free of charge, but two things that put me off:

1. I won't have control over it
2. Its not Mikrotik

That is one thing that Supersonic got right, using Mikrotik. Also the only thing they got right

Okay, update:

I am am powering the RB4011 via poe In using ultralan mini UPS (24v) - which is in turn powering my Unifi AC-LR via poe out - will monitor the battery usage when in loadsheddling

Update: now with LS back - the ONT, RB4011 and AC-LR hooked up to the mini ultralan seems too heavy - lasts just about under 2hrs.

I was was planning on buying another unit to power the NanoHD but looks like i will have to consider something with more battery storage (i think ultralan makes a unit double the capacity with 24V poe that i can use to power the rb4011)

I am getting the following every couple of seconds in the log:
dhcp1 offering lease 192.168.88.xx for [MAC ADDRESS] without success

I have no clue which device this is (most of my stuff is static assigned IPs).
Any way I can stop the router to try and assign this device an IP?

I often get this on a device that has bad wifi signal

You would have to turn off dhcp on the problem device

You can make a static entry and block access on the dhcp server - havent tried but should work

Is that an info or error warning in the log? I dont log dhcp info so ignorance is bliss

It is info only ... was thinking it could be related to my port 5 not properly connecting to my PC hub (but works perfectly as the PPPOE connection - Long story )

Problem solved and TMI is a real thing, some times anyway, or you can look for the issue

It is info only ... was thinking it could be related to my port 5 not properly connecting to my PC hub (but works perfectly as the PPPOE connection - Long story )

So to cut this long story short:
1. PPPOE worked on Port 1 and Port 5
2. PC didn't work on Port 1 or Port 5, but it did work on Port 3
3. So Ports are good, must be config. Went through everything, and saw that Port 5 was disabled under the Bridge config ... enabled it, now all is super good with my new router
