As always early adopters get to keep all the pieces when things break, which inevitably they do. :laugh:

I think I will hold out for this reason as well. The version announcement page has a lot of stuff that you can read through, but it seems a lot of people are experiencing some teething issues.

Maybe 7.16.1 will be the one to upgrade to when it drops.

 
Finally happy with the state of my queues. I ended up doing Mangle rules with packet marking, then stacking that with Queue Tree as Simple Queue was not really working out on my 60/60 connection (limited to 55/55 but with allowed bursting to 60/60).

As you tweak and play around you will find some settings that works for you. I was messing around with DSCP values last night, but I found that so many apps don't mark their packets properly, so I just prioritized by endpoint IP from most NB (control traffic, Voice/Video UDP, DNS) to least NB (basically 'best-effort' using a scavenger queue).

I spent a LOT of time with it but so far I am very happy with the results.

Yep, it takes some time to get to the right combinations, hence the 75Gb of test data. LOL
 
So I have a server back in SA which sits at my uncle's place.
The only VPN I can get reliably working on his asus router is OpenVPN, but Mikrotik's implementation just doesn't seem to play ball.

Well the good news is that his mesh system **** the bed yesterday and we placed an order for a new TP-Link Deco XE75 system... which supports WireGuard.
Needless to say I am eager to get that WireGuard VPN setup between my Mik and that TP-Link.
