Oh yes, and imagine my surprise when I walked into IC today and found some DS stuff there. Some of the games are quite reasonable. I think I'll get myself the Opera browser soon.

there isnt really any hardware difference (they're made in the same factory and to the same spec as far as i know) except the firmware they use, but even then u can load r4 firmware on an m3 and vica versa, me thinks (read that somewhere on forums.afterdawn.com)

As Imajin has said, the M3 and R4DS are essentially the same, so went for the M3 solely for the price. They said the delivery is 2-4 weeks since they order it from some other country. I just discovered from another thread that the guys I ordered it from is running this website with other cool stuff as well. Slightly cheaper as well. Give it a look. I suggest you do a bit of research on a specific item before committing, to see if it meet your specific need. Me for example want to run dslinux among other things, and therefore I need some kind of memory expansion. The Opera browser provide this but only 8 MB though. I'll let you guys know when I receive it if you can wait that long.
 
the m3 actually looks like the better choice in terms of functionality aswell, since the m3 actually allow for bigger sizes flash cards.
maybe i'm wrong but anyways.

also, whats with this running linux on a DS or PSP?

also i think i'll wait for your few weeks... but then again they said on the site that it will only be available till 14 apr, so i dont think i can wait. in fact i'll need to get the money asap. which i dont think i'll get:(

I think that date is probably just for bid or buy. I think you will be able to order them from the website after that date. You should maybe just email them to make sure.

R4 is expensive cos you don't get it in SA or even some first world places. Guys from the US still import it from Hong Kong.

If you buy a brand new one from the Kong you'll get it for R600 (inc delivery). That's the cheapest I knew off but it took me some time to actually find a legit and reliable place that would offer me that price and deliver to Africa.

I'd say get it from think 2 hard.
 
M3 Real

Hi, I ordered the M3 Real on Saturday from ExtremeShop. Price is good (R434.95), will report back on service and delivery as soon as I get it. They say 3 to 5 weeks.
