Cool for pokemon, though ill never think theres anything better than Gold/Silver/Crystal series (except online play = extreme thumbs up)

I'm picking me up Harvest moon DS.

if u've never played a harvest moon before, you havent lived yet :p

If you have and didnt like it, you have no taste ^_^

If you have and enjoyed it immensely as i always do, you know i can barely wait for it to get here :D

I once tried harvest moon for GBA...but only for a short time. I Guess it takes long to get into , but i can see it being really fun.
I WILL try the WII version though.AND stick to it.

It's not like animal crossing that gets boring right ?
 
I never played Animal Crossing, though the DS one with its online thing that allows you to visit other players cities looks cool, might pick it up some time.

I only got bored of harvest moon for GBA the second time i played through the whole thing :p

EDIT: Hey guys if you buy a game in say, France, and the back of the box has english writing, is there much hope for their to be a english language select?

Two puzzle games really worth getting - Picross (I think it's only in Japanese but it's not hard to figure out, just tap random menus till you get to start playing) and Polarium. Find myself coming back to these as often as I once did long ago to Tetris.
 
Yeah must agree with Polarium (havent played Picross)

Challenge mode keeps me entertained for a good while
 
Does anybody know if www.nintendo.co.za is ever going to come back up again? I bought my DS and a few games from them in December and I was really happy with the service and price. And then one day a few months ago they drop off the face of the planet...
 
Nintendo SA no longer exists. Futronic, the company responsible for importing Nintendo products, have lost their license and now Nintendo products are being handled by these guys.

In other words Nintendo is dead in South Africa.:(
 
I just got my Pokemon Diamond and Pearl from Take2.co.za.

Let me know who else get's it so we can exchange friend codes and such.
 
Hey, got mine yesterday. The game ROCKS ! I'm currently about to get my first gym badge.

Definitely recommended to all DS owners (Pokemon fan or not)
 
could u write a small review about it and compare it to say, the gba ones or the gbc ones? :)
 
Ok, so I got a new game or two in the past month... Got EBA and Phoenix Wright :D

Phoenix Wright, (the first one) is great fun, gonna have to get the second one next month :D

I totally suck at EBA :(
Really... I'm useless at it......
But it's still lots of fun... :D

What other "adventure" type games are there, like the olden days point and click adventure games?
phoenix wright, hotel dusk..., err... is castlevania also like that?

I wanna get one or two more adventure games for the winter and maybe something else, can anyone recommend another game?

I though about getting pokemon, but then, there are great RPG games for the PC, so I was thinking maybe something else....
 
Dude. Pokemon seriously, you have to get it. I didn't think I was going to enjoy this new one as much as the others, but this new one is amazing. Kiss your life goodbye when you start playing.

Castlevania is also brilliant. I never played a Castlevania title before Portrait of Ruin and now I'm hooked. It's an adventure platform game with RPG elements and definitely should be played.

But out of the two, I'd rather go for Pokemon Diamond or Pearl.
 
Sweet, think I'm gonna try getting my hands on pokemon and castlevania then, and maybe the second phoenix wright... :D

CAn't wait for zelda! That's going to be great:D

Are you guys going to get the Wii when it launches here?

Get the R4 and a SD. This is a bad argument, but as long as Nintendo ain't providing, we can just borrow in the mean time, no?
 
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl

How the hell can this game be so popular. I played for three hours and spent most of it pressing the same ass button. There is no skill. My Monferno, with it's Fire (Fire Wheel) and Fight (Mach Punch) can take on any foe or series of foes. It's level is so high I cannot find anything even vaguely challenging to fight it. And because it can kill everything, why should I waste time with the other Pokemon? This game is so lame. There are no puzzles, no strategies, no witty dialogue, no jump/move sequence puzzles. Horrible!
