If you are ever down in Durbs, Point Park Run is a pretty flat and quick course.Exactly
The one possible reason I can think off is I always prefer to run a familiar route. Otherwise I'm worried about getting lost. Yeah I know... but tell my brain that. I get lost on the drive home sometimes![]()
So its not just me? I tend to switch to autopilot when I run. I had to do some work in the Northen Cape a few years ago and decided to go for a run and just wing it... I realized how far I was from the guesthouse when it was too late (and Postmasburg isnt even that big)Exactly

This thread makes me sad, got a bad case of osteoarthritis in my knee. Only in my early 30s. My running days are over.
Did my first sub 40min Parkrun. This specific course is pretty brutal, as there are some steep uphills right at the start.
The second uphill section is over 1km long, and I haven't yet managed to do a complete run up it, but I'm at about two thirds of the way before I have to walk.
I'm doing the Garmin Coach Couch to 5k. Typically 4 runs in the week, excluding Parkrun. I'm currently on week 9 of 13. My goal is a 35min 5k. I might be able to do it in our neighborhood, but I'm not so sure about this Parkrun. My average HR today was 171. Similar distance runs in the neighborhood, my average HR is around 155. I'm really struggling with hills. But I will persist. Once this training plan is done, I'll either start another 5k program, or go for one of the 10k ones.Nice! Are you doing any training during the week?
I entered JC but sadly won't make it. Good event.Anyone doing Ottsdal tonight or Johnson crane tomorrow?
Im doing the 10 with a pram…I entered JC but sadly won't make it. Good event.
