Sorry to hear that. Torn hammy is always a bummer.Last weekend while I was running joburg north city marathon I felt a tear in my hamstring at about 39km, I decided to walk the rest and got to the end but something wasn't right.
The next day my leg was on fire,I could barley walk but thought I would give it some rest by Wednesday it was still stuffed so went to the doc.
Looks like I have torn my hamstring and I can't run for a minimum of 2 months. I'm a bit frustrated but Comrades will have to wait for next year and I have lots of rehabilitation to do.

What do think might've caused it?
I always thought torn mean you pulled it but when you look at the action of slow running the hams don't really extend fully unless you're doing full sprints.
