Naa I'm free to run again. But my own rule is to only start again once the last blue tone nail falls off.
It's nice to be lazy for a bit . But not for to long as starting again is hard .

Meh so I tore some anchor points where my Achilles attaches to the heel in my right foot a few days ago.
Timing is terrible because its a month to my favorite trail run of the year, the 39k Alexandria Trail run
Now Im stuck wearing an aircast and on crutches for the next week or two.
Note to self, lay off the squash for a bit when your favorite race is coming up!
Awesome conditions on the mountain this evening.

Definitely no CR hunting on a night like that. And having the proper gear like a really bright headlamp makes it feel safer. That looks awesome. I'll be schit scared to slip and fall.
Haha, this was nothing compared to some runs. Bastille day race in Franschhoek has some epic river crossings that are waist deep. And that water is FREEZING.That looks amazing!
But... crossing a waterfall... in shorts... at night... in the middle of winter...![]()

Anyone on here a member of a running club? Obviously those that run the bigger races are.
Can I join any club and is it worth my while or should I just buy a temp license whenever I want to run a race?
Same here. Park and Trail, but ran the Knysna half marathon last weekend and want to do a few more this year. Running at Knysna it just looked awesome to see all the different clubs and people running in groups. Meanwhile I was rocking it in my Mr Price maxed running shirt.Good question. Have also been considering this although I only do Park and Trail runs currently. Haven't quite found a club that has a decent website though![]()
I joined Team Vitality. I run quite a few races during the year, so in the end if you add up all the temporary licence fees, it costs about the same as joining a club. If you only do parkruns it won't be worth it.Anyone on here a member of a running club? Obviously those that run the bigger races are.

what would the benefits be?
I've mailed two of the local running clubs, yet to receive a reply. Thanks for the advice. Why don't you try find a couple of running clubs in your area and go and run with them once or twice? Then once you've met the other members you can decide which one you want to join.
Running with a group can really help with the discipline/motivation and it's usually a lot more fun than running by yourself.
If you really just want to avoid the day license fees rather than finding a bunch of people to run with, join a virtual club like Team Vitality.
Disclaimer: I am not a member of a running club (I only run because I have to to finish triathlons) but I am a member of a tri-club and two cycling clubs (road and mountain)
