Managed to do a comrades at home over 4 days

Friday - 20km
Saturday - 20km
Sunday - 40km
Yesterday - a very very slow and sore yet determined 10km

I had to do 6 steps many 1000's of times they became the bane of my existence, my dogs and neighbors think I'm mad but its done.

Anyone know if we are actually allowed to run out in the wild again on Friday?

I think the details of what type of exercise will be allowed will be released today.

Fantastic run

Can't see how you can apply strict public health conditions to running. Unless it means jogging with a mask and only at a certain time? IMG_20200428_140618.jpg

Yeah I'm not sure but going to order a few of these https://runzone.co.za/product/face-mask-run-zone-logo/ if I can run and they abide by the running PPE or whatever the governments makes up.

They seem pretty good quality and being able to wash/reuse, its just going to be strange training in an altitude mask but it should increase performance after lockdown.

Dunno hey. Jury is out on the those elevation masks and performance although although I've never tried it myself.

I'll continue for a while at home before taking to the road. Normal wearing of that thing is unpleasant as it is. Can't see how I'll manage running with one.

So, are you ready to get back out on the road tomorrow? A 5KM radius is pretty decent for running.

Not sure how the hell Im going to cope running with a buff or mask, but we will have to make a plan.

Why are we only allowed to run between 6 and 9? And do we have to wear a mask or can we go without?

I'm going to take my mask with, if I see a lot of people without then I'll go without too - otherwise I'll just put it on.

Went for a 2k run without a mask, lots of other runners and walkers and people walking their dogs

Went for 7k this morning. Wearing a mask makes my glasses steam up but still totally worth it - maybe it'll help improve VO2 Max or something :)

Autumn weather like to today is my favourite time of year for running and my pace was much better than running circuits round the garden.

My dog and I did 5K this morning. Lots of runners and walkers about, but we all greeted each other from opposite sides of the road.

our suburb was like people have never seen sun before, whole families walking, even those that clearly haven't climbed off the couch in 20 years. most people with no masks etc. i don't really agree with people needing to wear a mask to go for a jog, but if hoards of people will be out then maybe not the worst idea in the world.

i just jog with my buff so i dont get called out by a karen

I didn't have a mask on. Didn't think it would be comfortable while running
