Hi fellow runners. Does anyone else like peeping at their VO2 max readings? I find that it is nearly impossible to increase even as I pick up my pace or run longer. Maybe this is just an Apple Watch issue here?

Yep, I wanted to go for a run this morning, but it was too cold and dark. They need to allow people to run at other times of the day as well.

I have to work in the mornings but have found a complex I can run in the afternoons to avoid the stupidity of the exercise laws.

On Sunday I left at 5:45 and ran until 9:15 not finishing what I set out for km's wise because the cold kicked my butt, its real tough when its so cold.

Try high intensity interval workouts.

So, runners what's best for running in the cold? Tights or sweat. I have only shorts and it's starting to get rather nippy and trying to decide between tights or sweats. I'll likely get sweats cause you can wear them even when not running but wondering if sweats are worth it.

I've only ever worn tights once, running on the Scottish Highlands with snow on the ground and a wind chill well below freezing. In SA, never, including Drakensberg and JHB in winter. CT winters are far too mild to even think about them. I find as long as I keep moving, my legs don't get cold but having a proper jacket when in the mountains is key.

I prefer running tights, just more comfortable for me.

I'm well padded, so shorts and running t-shirt are good. Even my buff keeps my face a little too warm...

I have long tights that I wear under my shorts haha. Not wearing long sleeves yet, mostly because I don't have any, but also I start to warm up quite fast still.
