Working towards my sub 50min 10km did it in 51:36 on Monday which is pretty close but I have to get 10sec per km faster which is much.... harder then it sounds.

Worked hard this week hopefully I have gained a few secs.

Fell really hard this weekend on the trails, 20 stitches in the head, eye so swollen I can barley see through it, 50% of the skin on my left hand is missing, general scrapes scratches and bruisers over my body.

Not feeling clever.

Damn that sux!

Yay! club runs are open again and face is feeling better.

Did a 10km on Saturday and 15km on Sunday and realized just how unfit I have gotten over the year. Now that I can work towards some goals fitness should pick up.

I'm part of Run Zone so I follow them on Facebook they are doing 5.00/5.30/6.00/6.30/7.00am runs with a maximum of 50 people per group and a very clever way of doing the tables where only one person fills up your cup (which you carry the whole way) with a hose.

So I suppose it depends on your club but if you in JHB join Run zone on facebook and come join they are excellent.

Anyone using Bluetooth airpods for running?

Im in the market, any recommendations?

I have the JBL endurance sprint BT earphones. Nice fit, sometimes I find the sound blocking too good - you don't always hear the cars. But, wasn't too expensive, sounds great and the battery lasts long as well.

I'm extremely paranoid about running with earphones, especially noise canceling ones. Hardly ever, and when I do, I just put one earphone in.

Yeah, in a place like RSA earphones are a bad idea when running

I use Volcano earphones with a clip over the ear, because earphones fall out of my ears. They work really well, and I keep the volume low enough that I can hear cars.

Can't wear any earphones without that clip. Got this that doubles as a hand free.
Connects perfectly to my amazfit so phone stays at home.

Heard a rumour that the CT virtual MAY count as an Oceans and/or Comrades qualifier. I wasn't going to bother doing it but if it does indeed turn out to be so, I might just give it a crack. Will see if it is true first
Don't most people run their qualifiers from Jan to April, but the it's best to do it Oct/Nov.
We might even get the Soweto marathon in mid Nov.
