Anyway, think I need to take a few days rest. Struggled this afternoon with leg muscles going heavy and sore.
Not high heart rate this time.

Meh. Motivation is up the pole right now. With nothing to run for (no upcoming marathons or big trail runs) running has taken a definite back seat to slothing on the couch.

As long as people are out there representing, I don't mind. Haha!

I'm still running. But I overdid it a little during hard lockdown, so taking it easier now.

My first half marathon race was supposed to be in March. Kinda glad it was postponed, as I will be in far better shape when(if?) races start again.

Did my first midweek long run since June
Was 1C windy and dark.
Enjoyed it.
Was a slow run for my friends so I was able to keep up with my overweight ass
5:14/km over 20km is a slow run?

I'm sure i'd keep up... on a bicycle!

I've just been chugging along, 5-7km four times a week, sometimes a 9-11km on a Sunday if I'm not too lazy. My dog is so fit now!

I've been averaging 3 runs a week for a total of about 27 km for the last month according to Strava. Usually 2 "long" runs (about 10km) and then a shorter one (+- 30 mins) after a long bike ride (3-4 hours) on the weekend. (Also averaging about 6 hours on the bike a week and looking forward to getting back into swimming assuming my shoulder isn't still f**ked).

Heard a rumour that the CT virtual MAY count as an Oceans and/or Comrades qualifier. I wasn't going to bother doing it but if it does indeed turn out to be so, I might just give it a crack. Will see if it is true first

Doing half-marathon. Still haven't figured out a route. I want to do the Promenade, but fear everyone in Cape Town will actually do that route.

I have a nice route around the neighbourhood that I repeat twice over and that gives me just over 21k's
