So after I went for physio, I found out my feet does weird things. Anyone that can recommend a podiatrist or similar in the Randburg area?

i honestly just jog with a buff around my neck and will pull it up if i think i need to

Yeah, this works for me too.

Please stop. You're making it worse..

A neck gaiter, an item beloved by runners, ranked worse than no mask at all. The porous fabric may break the larger particles into smaller ones. Smaller particles remain in the air longer than large droplets.

They actually make them now with extra layers by the nose and mouth to work as a mask

If that is the one they are using, then great. Although "buff" as a brand doesn't have those, I think.

Still, I don't think most people know this.

Opposite of what I and most people have with foot issues.
Over pronation.

Yeah. Which sucks, cause there is way more help with over pronation. However, I'm getting inserts for my feet and likely will get new shoes as well.

One place wanted to up my regular size by 1 - cause otherwise it causes issues, apparently. Anyone heard of this before?

Yes with running one size bigger because your feet goes through a bit of swelling during runs and you don't want snug that turns into too tight.

I did my longest run ever this weekend 50km with a small group of people, at 25km we had people waiting to refuel us and half the group ended there. The rest of us ran back.

The terrain was pretty tough and we only kinda had a route so we had to back track a bit. After the first 25km we could pick up the pace but still took us 9hours.

So Comrades officially cancelled.
Who else is doing the virtual run on 13 June?

Going to see if I can do my first full marathon.
