The official running thread™

Was a rough one this morning, 5km@27:30

I had to walk twice and my heart rate spiked all the way to 200, otherwise it was a good run to get back into it.

My right knee ligaments feeling it though.

12 km run early Sunday morning, 70 minutes. Enjoyed it so much that I'm thinking of doing less 5 km runs and more 10 km runs. At a time I was fixated on running fast 5 km's.

My goal was sub 25 on 5k's which I've now done so looking at 10k's as the next step.

15K easy run today.

Also focusing on 10km, want to consistently run it in under an hour.

nice, i did a quick 2km with the dog today, i think i am gonna need to switch to the afternoons for a few weeks, it is just too easy to stay in a warm bed at 5:30am

Ordered my new pair of trail shoes. Saucony Peregrine 8's. My current Salomons are more than 3 years old and with trail season now approaching (culminating with the UTCT 65km run in December) a new pair has been way overdue. Can't wait to get out there in them!

Nah bud. This is when you get up and go! Getting out of bed is the hard part. Once you are out there, the rest is easy!

eish its hard xD i want to but i am kinda using the excuse to start trying to run with the pooch to run in the afternoon xD

Ive been running with the missus lately. Much slower but awesome to spend time on the road together. I want to do a 10KM night run at Serengeti on Friday, so Ill just keep the legs busy for the rest of the week

So walk into gym this am after my 3 week layoff and all the treadmills have notices up "No fast running" o_O

The perils of a small town gym :(

Don't worry us city boys always have to have enough in the tank to dodge a taxi, avoid gangstas or hoof it away from the occasional dog.

Fortunately back in Sleepy Hollow I have two great routes I can run. One from home and the other at Cascades that's a good combo of trail/road. Very little to dodge in either route.

boo i have only cracked 2 x 2km runs this week :( though both were with the pooch and he ran mostly nice, my crowd might not do PR this weekend so i am considering taking him.

Every little bit helps. And it's good fun getting out there with the doggy.

10km in 57mins today. Seeing some decent improvement.
