I watched the race and was getting excited to do comrades in a few years time, still only on half marathon distance at the moment. That article is a bit of a shocking view of how the event actually went down, not having ever done the race before I did not pick up any of the many issues from watching it.

SuperSports broadcasting was amazing especailly when compared to the SABC in the past. The 100th comrades is in a few years think 2027 will definately be worth it.

For me it's all well and good when the winners/top 100 get in. But the best part of Comrades is cheering on the runners who finish with an hour or even a minute to spare. Heck I even admire those who didn't make the cut-off gun but still finished.

I looked at the finish pic this year... meh it's not for me

Yup, the final cut-off is just so tense and watchable, just wasn't the same this year. :(
