So below are my experiences with the service so far.

Signing up was super easy and quick.

Found a movie(Surrogates) to watch easily. Movie played at HD for the most part. bit rates fluctuated, but the fastest I saw was 4MB/s. I had slight stuttering every now again. Nothing major and didnt really detract from the experience.

I like that one can skip forward and back a lot easier than Netflix. With Netflix you need to wait a few seconds as the whole things load again, while with this, the movie played almost immediately.

One downside to player is that it cannot be resized or moved. Only made full screen or tiny screen.

The site still has a few bugs. Got logged out randomly once for no reason. Sometimes when you click something the page reloads, instead of taking you to the thing you clicked on.

The filters need some work. They don't seem to be working correctly.

The site remembers where you are when you stop watching something. There are also password protected parental controls.

For the first day of launch I'm surprised how well it's working to be honest. EA and Blizzard could learn a thing or two.

The service has no anime that I could see.

All in all a good start if you ask me. Definitely give the trial a try. While the content is still a bit thin, it can only grow and worth supporting if you ask me. I'll be keeping my sub to show my support for this local streaming service.

Won't be cancelling my Netflix any time soon though.

I concur with most you have said, just keep supporting and with the support im sure things will change.

However here is my list they can take a look at and ill be a very happy customer:-

1.Like you mentioned, the window is in a locked postion which is a little annoying as I would like to scale it.

2.Im running a 6mb and the site seemed really slow (Could be the amount of people joining perhaps?)

3.Not sure if netflix uses Silverlight as their player, however I honestly feel no support for Silverlight over Flash Player. Whatever was being used was giving me some frame losses and even a freeze frame.

4.The mobile app was a little dissapointing, took long to load, loading of videos takes too long in my opinion (my phone ended up locking screen), then it just randomly took me to the main menu again recommending I try their android app.

From my quick signup yesterday, was super easy and my VCPay VCC worked so that is nice to see :) [GPlay doesn't support the card fyi] and streaming was very quick using a 2Mbps line. Will post a more comprehensive look later on.

They are off to a good start.

*We need some Dolby Digital Plus support though :p

Can't we get an "authorised authority" figure from MyBB to make contact with Vidi and request that they have a representative here?

I'm sure that it will provide all parties (Vidi, consumers and MyBB staff) with valuable insights into customer experiences, concerns/issues and expectations (e.g. dev roadmap raised in one of the threads)?

That's what I was going to suggest

Very good for the first day of launch.

The UI could do with some work but it does the job.

There are a few things that I would change... like setting full screen to auto, make the backround a different colour.

Seems like its also not keeping me logged in, bit of a pain.

Unfortunately my internet connection is giving me hassles again, so can't comment on the quality. I was able to stream stuff though and it was decent.

Good idea getting the thread setup. It would be cool to have a rep here.

Scaling is possible... if you are wiling to extract the iframe and open that in a new window/tab. Works just fine and dandy then.

Just tried to watch a movie. On a 6 meg line and the quality is poor. Bit rate is only at a 60-80 KBs a second. I'm not sure if this is due to congestion or just my line. I'll test it out in a few more days and see if it improves

EDIT: and it doesn't look like my connection - streaming youtube at 6MB/s. Congestion :(

I had an annoying flickering square in full screen bottom centre - not very big but distracting none the less.

Did they pull their Android app? I'm trying to test that now and can't seem to find anything on playstore

So a 40 minute episode of Lost cost me roughly 500 MB of data. Which means a standard move would be anywhere between 1.1 - 1.5 GB depending on length and if the bitrates are consistent.

Just for anyone else who is interested.

That's dependant on your line speed. Are you on 2 Mbps?

What is this?
