Hi guys,
Only found this thread over the weekend, awesome to see such a strong Xiaomi community! I'm looking to replace my Redmi 3S (been using it for 3 years now I think!), so thought I'd ask here. At the moment I'm leaning to the Redmi 9, and was about to purchase it from mia.africa.com, but then saw some not so great reviews on hellopeter. Anyone bought phones from them before? Thanks
I haven't personally tested it but for the price think it is prob the best in that rangeThinking of getting a Xaomi phone to use mainly as a photo snapper to upgrade from my Galaxy S4 camera. Any recommendations for which one to go for with decent indoor photo capability. Looking at the Note 8 at less than R3K it seems a good deal.
I could of course go for the Note 9 Pro, but not sure if the price premium would be worth it for something I want to use as a glorified camera. Most likely wouldn't even add a SIM.I haven't personally tested it but for the price think it is prob the best in that range
How is the indoor/low light photo image quality?Have the Redmi Note 8
Great phone, unlocked with EU firmware
Awesome. Would appreciate that. Especially if you can throw in a book cover or two.So far I haven't had any issues, I'll take some pics later
Contacting Vodacom seems impossible. I've a new Vodacom SIM that is already RICA'd but I cannot seem to speak to a human. No options. A run around. Cannot enable 4G or anything else on the card.Might have to phone your network to reprovision the service again. I used to have Volte active on my personal number, but it stopped working for no apparent reason. Vodacom had to reprovision the service again.

Not too sure, I would just do look up some camera comparison reviews and make a call from thereI could of course go for the Note 9 Pro, but not sure if the price premium would be worth it for something I want to use as a glorified camera. Most likely wouldn't even add a SIM.

Already checked those out, plus the comparisons. They don't have any images which matches my use case of indoor photos, so it's a bit tough to make a decision. You can see some images here https://m.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_8-review-2040p5.php
