I usually would buy form Takealot, but in this instance mia.africa included the wireless headphones where Takealot didn't. Ordered form them on Monday afternoon and received my phone on Wedesday morning! If you want good after sales service, buy from Take a lot, of they have stock. They provide one of the best warranty support services within online South Africa...
That's a really good priceJust got me a Redmi 9A for R1 799 from https://mia.africa.com/za for a backup phone (maps, wifi hotspot etc)
Works perfectly, quick and it's value for money.
You send it to MIA to repairApparently one cannot find Xiaomi parts in South Africa, like screen replacements etc.
This according to one of those little cellphone shops that do repairs and fit screen protectors etc. Nokia and Samsung screens are readily available, with a slight wait on Hisense.
Thanks for the promo info.If anyone is planning on buying today... R150 off on mia.africa.com View attachment 1019118

Is Miphones.co.za legit?
I want to buy a Poco X3 from them because nobody else ships to South Africa really. I've read some reviews about them, but they are mostly negative. If anyone has ordered from them before, how was the service? Where can you buy a Poco X3 here in SA?mybroadband.co.za

Legit in that they are a registered business, but after reading the forum I wouldn't even think about ordering from them. Especially considering PayFast have apparently dropped them as a client so you wouldn't even have that recourse to get your money back.Legit, but they took a month or so to deliver a Mi band to me.
Legit AFAIK, but not good enough for me to recommend/use them. "Only 7 days warranty on items".. no thanks. Not sure about Mifix if Miphones can't even pull it off.

Cheaper 9C has glass or something protecting the camera group. It doesn't get scratched even in a workshop environment with lots of stuff it gets put on when putting the phone down.Note 8 arrived and is busy downloading the world's largest update it seems. It does come with a transparent cover included in the box.
Think I'll have to look for something that's a little sturdier and provides better protection for the cameras. That protruding camera bulge concerns me. Won't the cameras get scratched easily?
I've had the stock Note 8 cover on mine for about a year now and haven't received any scratches to my lenses yet. And I'm not easy on my devicesNote 8 arrived and is busy downloading the world's largest update it seems. It does come with a transparent cover included in the box.
