Wouldn't bet on it being available locally, at least any time soon. And be aware that Chinese versions of the phone are getting blocked from Google Services, so would need to wait for the global version to be launched.Anyone know where's the best option to get a Mi 11 from?
What's the chances that Takealot end up stocking the flagship?
Yeah I'm talking about the global version. The global Mi 11 was released in Jan I think. The Mi 11 Ultra also just got unveiled. They're doing a weird mini screen on the back camera module which I'm not sure of yet...Wouldn't bet on it being available locally, at least any time soon. Where do you change it? I see 'SBC' shown in the bluetooth menu on N9Pro when connected, but don't notice any options to change it there. Always sounded good to me though, just curious.Has anyone here paired the Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2 with a Redmi Note 8 that has gotten the AAC codec to work?
Mine keeps on defaulting back to SBC which has pretty crappy audio quality. Apparently the limitation is on the phone side, and not the buds. Disappointing![]()
Under Developer Settings there's a bunch of options related to Bluetooth that you can fiddle withWhere do you change it? I see 'SBC' shown in the bluetooth menu on N9Pro when connected, but don't notice any options to change it there. Always sounded good to me though, just curious.
Your model is SBC only, according to the linked site. My Redmi 9 is the same - although the option for AAC is available in Developer Settings, it reverts to SBC as soon as you back out of that menu.Under Developer Settings there's a bunch of options related to Bluetooth that you can fiddle with
I also saw conflicting info on the models, some saying it supports only SBC and other sites saying it supports AAC too.Your model is SBC only, according to the linked site. I haven't found one that works with Bluetooth, only when using the 3.5mm jack. That does seem to be the case, also reverted back immediately.
@PhireSide & @riscbroker Recommend any facility for equalizing audio when using the wireless earbuds basic 2?
Do enjoy their (IMO) dark nature, and abilities to 'get down'..but still want to trim off a bit of the highs![]()
EQ APO ftw! I use it to add a negative gain to my USB headset that's deafening at 8% volume.I use my basic 2 earbuds mostly for listening to YouTube tutorials, so the sound quality is pretty irrelevant. When I do use them for music, I use my laptop as the source and run everything through EQ APO, which can sort out just about anything.
That's R100 cheaper than the sale price I got it for a couple of weeks ago.Takealot Fire Sale.

Get the Note 8 on take a lot. On Special for R2800. You don't get anything better in your target price range.Whats the recommended Xiaomi phone in the 3k to 3.5k range?
Amazing phone. Battery life is very good; Picture quality is very good; Speed and overall experience when using the device is also very good. Only thing I don't like so much is that it forces almost everything to be on the cloud - I can't even store my contacts on device.
What's the story here boss?
