+1All true, except the last part
I have almost nothing on the cloud.
Still can't get used to the fingerprint on the power button though. My only complaint.

Get the Note 8 on take a lot. On Special for R2800. You don't get anything better in your target price range.
Is there a big difference between the Note 8 and the Note 9. The 9 is going for 3599 on Mia Africa.Get the Note 8 on take a lot. On Special for R2800. You don't get anything better in your target price range.
The note 9 has a mediatek chipset for some reason. I'd avoid. rather get the 8 or 9s/9 proIs there a big difference between the Note 8 and the Note 9. The 9 is going for 3599 on Mia Africa.
Thanks. I see the size is also a bit big. Im used to the size of the MI 6 and would prefer something in that size though. The note 9 has a mediatek chipset for some reason. I'd avoid. rather get the 8 or 9s/9 pro
It should come with a basic soft cover in the box. Mine did.Im going to pull the trigger on the note 8 from Takealot. Any recommendations for screen guard and cover?
Just a normal rubber cover, nothing fancy.

We got 2 of these from Banggood last year. They have a nice protective border and the ring makes it so much more comfortable to hold and carry the phone. Much nicer than the included silicone cover. It should come with a basic soft cover in the box. Mine did.

If android to android most stuff should restore from Google drive backup if you have it on. For photos I use Google photos. Or just copy files to computer and then to new devicePhone will be delivered today. Whats the best way to transfer EVERYTHING from current to new device?

Ok. What considerations are there for me if I want to hand my Redmi 4A to my son? Can I just wipe it, set the Redmi 4A up for him with his Gmail account and that's that?
Getting a Note 8 on this Monday.
Only whatsapp data that need to be transferred, so backup to gdrive on old, install + restore on new.Unless you're starting fresh with none of your own data on the new phone?
Trawled in this thread as I could not remember when I got my 4A.Got my Xiaomi device an hour ago. (32Gb version)
Very impressed with it.
Only drawback was that they did not include instructions on how to open the SIM tray... but yeah, got that sorted eventually.
Busy loading it up with apps and games
Can always get extra memory later on.
Bonus is that it can handle two SIM's.- never planned for that, but it is nice to have.
