The Official Xiaomi Thread

Just reaching out here.

Had my Redmi 4A on 3G instead of LTE. After the last update 3G struggled to reconnect (had it set to turn off after a while in order to conserve battery) when unlocking the phone.

Yesterday it did not want to connect at all.

Got it eventually to work on LTE, and it seems to work good.

So I'm not sure whether it is the phone or the software...

Nope no problem with my standard Redmi 4A.

I've had my phone for over a year now and only today realised you can double-tap the Menu button to switch between your current app and the previously opened one :o

I had that moment just a few months ago. It was a revelation

I had a bug whereby I couldn't edit my quick toggles (those shortcuts above the notifications area)

My GPS, auto-rotation, WiFi hotspot etc weren't there and the edit option wasn't there. Also some new ones were there, like auto shazam and a lastpass one.

Found others having this issue on reddit, by uninstalling shazam and lastpass, the edit tile magically appeared. I was then able to add the missing tiles and rearrange them how I like. Installed those apps back and its still working now.

Was the only bug that was really... bugging me. Had to go into settings to toggle the auto-rotate every time.

I like the new 'recent apps' look in miui 10, shows 2 columns of all your running apps in a neat list. Best implementation I've seen on any phone, iPhone currently the worst with their stacked cards look.

Very nice, congrats! I hope it serves you well. From the reviews it seems to be a pretty great piece of hardware for the price. You're welcome to swing the Mini my way instead of the bin. I've been looking for one for my folks for a while now :)

trust me, you dont want my mini, like any apple product, the screen cracked all on its own without my help and then the place who repaired it for me did a crapo job so it doesnt attract the cover magnetically anymore and the glass panel came loose also and to top it all off nicely, apples updates that makes your old apple hardware slower en gives you worse battery life is working well

Eish, sounds like it's been a headache! Hopefully the Xiaomi fills the void nicely

Playing with my new Nokia 7 Plus. And it works here too. Thx

Miss some MIUI features such as showing data usage stats on the notification drop down, what the download rate is and three finger swipe to take a screenshot. Also prefer Xiaomi s open app management system .

Pure Android is just a revelation. The camera is great too. A

Still trying to figure out how to enable data transfer on my redmi note 4. Screen is dead but responsive to touch and connected to WiFi .. any tips?
