The Official Xiaomi Thread

My update is done, rebooted a few times no such issues.
Great. It's random, so I can reboot normally now.

I noticed Spotify kept freezing/crashing when my screen was locked. So I decided to reboot, and the issue happened. So far it's happened twice this week. Definitely looks like some sort of bug to me.

I updated my Mi 9T to 12.0.4 Global Stable OTA last week. Ever since then, the Miui messages (sms) app has gone full retard and keeps asking me to allow it to do something something and the it tucks the "decline" button extremely small below a big blue ALLOW. Shady AF!

I eventually got tired of it and switched to the Google SMS app.

Haven't noticed that issue yet. Will keep an eye. That version on the 9T seems more stable than the latest available for the Note 9S in my opinion

The above codes just stop the network from overriding the volte settings in the phone, if you update or reset the phone you need to redo the codes if volte was working and stops after the update.
No updates nor reset just disappeared.

Disappeared from your settings menu or the actual feature has disappeared?
The status bar VoLTE icon disappeared calls are no longer coming through. The feature is still visible in the settings menu but toggling it on and off does nothing.

Sounds more like a network issue rather than a handset issue then.

Might have to phone your network to reprovision the service again. I used to have Volte active on my personal number, but it stopped working for no apparent reason. Vodacom had to reprovision the service again.

Best place to buy Xiaomi?

Hi guys,
Only found this thread over the weekend, awesome to see such a strong Xiaomi community! I'm looking to replace my Redmi 3S (been using it for 3 years now I think!), so thought I'd ask here. At the moment I'm leaning to the Redmi 9, and was about to purchase it from mia.africa.com, but then saw some not so great reviews on hellopeter. Anyone bought phones from them before? Thanks

Mia africa is great. They are the official Xiaomi distributers. I've gotten phones from them fast.

From what I've heard only buy from them if they have what you want in stock. Problems arise if they have to order for you.........

They should be fine, but whatever you do don't buy from Miphones.co.za

That could be true. I've only bought in stock items
As I understand they only sell stuff they have in local stock, otherwise it is marked as out of stock. Possibly referring to miphones.co.za? That is the site so many people have had issues with

My bad. I got mixed up. Sorry about that.

Awesome thanks.
Very encouraging knowing they are official Xiaomi distributers.
