Redmi 9A is like a 9C but without fingerprint scanner and chipset slightly slower. Otherwise the same screen, size, battery etc etc. So it's a reliable and won't let your dad downAnyone have the Redmi 9A?
I just purchased this phone for my father and from online reviews it seems okay for basic use.
He only really uses his phone for Whatsapp, calls, banking and Google Maps.
I got it on Takealot for R1799.
Thanks so much. He is "upgrading" from an old iPhone SE. I think he is going to enjoy the bigger screen and battery lifeRedmi 9A is like a 9C but without fingerprint scanner and chipset slightly slower. Yeah some stuff is not there... Like, for example, the xiaomi usb drive picks up as LePhone driver instead. Before you flash, read the documentation thoroughly and make sure you have everything ready.
and this has magically fixed itself yesterday. no rebooting or tweaking of anything since friday. and no updates either.Bought a Redmi Note 9 Pro in November and phone calls were working fine till the last few days. Now if I answer a call, I won't hear a thing unless I put call on speaker.
Google for a few solutions but none of them have worked.
Have any of you experienced the same thing?
Rather try takealot's express. They have free shipping and duty free

Rather get a Redmi Note 8 64 GB storage and 4Gb ram, which has a higher resolution display and only just a slightly lower processor speed for nearly 40% cheaper locally.
Did you install a driver for your phone? It's usually on a Xiaomi site somewhere.Ok so I am stuck where I boot into fastboot mode, but windows 10 picks the phone up as "Other Devices" > "Android" with an exclamation mark in Device Manager.
I followed all of the steps up until this point.
I did everything. In normal mode, Adb and device manager recognizes it.Did you install a driver for your phone? It's usually on a Xiaomi site somewhere.
Eisch, don't you hate it when that happens...I did everything. In normal mode, Adb and device manager recognizes it.
In fastboot mode, it isn't recognized. So a different set of drivers is needed when it is in fastboot mode apparently, based on all the googling and all the drivers I downloaded yesterday that does not work.
