Not sure whether I agree with the word choice - ditch. With the global shortage of processors the companies launch with any processor they can get and which makes sense. I believe they will continue to launch with both mediatek and snapdragon. As a brand with price very important they will migrate more towards the cheaper mediatek if they believe the quality is in order.I have a feeling that Xiaomi is going to ditch Snapdragon on lower to midrange models.

For those who have purchased the Redmi Note 10 Pro and banks With Capitec, can I just confirm whether the Capitec App works on the Note 10 Pro? I am looking to buy a Note 10 pro for someone as a birthday gift later this month so just want to confirm that the app works. Your response is appreciated.

It's advertised like that but when you go to a Vodacom store and IF they have stock they tell you it's R4999. And it's only single sim.I saw the other day, Vodacom has the Redmi note 10 pro for R4599, with a Mi Band.

MIA are the official Xiaomi importers. They are part of the Core group which also owns the iStores in SA. You won't have any service issues. As I mentioned last week that I intend buying the Redmi Note 10T as a gift for someone later this month, I was also considering buying it from MIA Africa. If anyone here has purchased from them recently, what is the warranty on their cellphones. Has anyone ever had to claim for a faulty phone under warranty with them and what was the response and process like.
Also for those who purchased from Takelot, same questions as above.
Your feedback is much appreciated.

12 month warranty from both Takealot and MIA. You'll get 24 months warranty through Vodacom but then you'll lose the dual sim capability as they software block it.
I don't have the problem with mine with regards to open wifi networks, must be a setting on your side.Is there.any option on these bloody phones (redmi note 10 pro) to disable the option of the phone just automatically connecting to any open WiFi hotspot it sees. While I am driving , it happens so often that I need to turn WiFi off
Also by default , it uses device mac and not random mac which is also fricking irritating. This is how our privacy gets eroded using the 'cheap' phones.
I love my phone, but these little design decisions they make seriously are making me want to to back to Nokia Android one, or Apple
Not important for your question, but which phone are you referring too. There is a redmi Note 10T 5g but I dont think that is available in South Africa. There is a Redmi Note 10S and a Redmi Note 10 5G though. As I mentioned last week that I intend buying the Redmi Note 10T as a gift for someone later this month, I was also considering buying it from MIA Africa. My apologies, it's the Redmi Note 10 Pro. I've been watching too many Xiaomi reviews on Youtube and must have gotten confused for a moment there. Not important for your question, but which phone are you referring too.
