The Official Xiaomi Thread

Yeah it's fine indoors. Outdoors don't think anything less than 100% will do on a sunny day.

I can confirm that there is stock in-store

Yes, I took the Pro mainly for the 120hz screen/HDR. However the higher refresh rate does chow battery much quicker. I bought the 10s for my partner and she is loving it; I cannot see much of a difference between the two other than size/weight and the screen differences. Camera don't bother me, so this was not a factor.

Best is to have a look here :)
Is there a noticeable size difference between 10s compared to the pro? Hard to determine the size difference just by looking at the numbers.

Bought the pro on black Friday, but I find it a bit too large, more so since my previous phone was much smaller. Considering selling the pro to buy the 10s

Hello All...

Wanted some opinions...is it still worth getting a Redmi 9T? Its currently on special right now, has a massive battery. Was released in January this year. Most likely is the 4gb Ram version, with 128gb Storage, MIA's website doesn't list the RAM specs for this device.

Thanks

Dont see why not. Its still a decent phone. Really depends on what you want to do with it.

I can post a side-by-side comparison picture tonight, for a better idea

@Pineapple Smurf has one. As far as I know he's very happy with his. R3000 is what he paid I think from Takealot a few months back.

The 10s has a far inferior camera. Check out some of the reviews of the camera performance if that is of importance to you.

Great specs for the price. Bear in mind the screen is not AMOLED so no AOD and there is also no notification LED...

Yup and I am still loving it
The camera could be better
But for the price I am not complaining one bit at all
No matter how many apps are open it never ever lags ever.
Nothing
The touchscreen is pretty smooth and good

I have no issues at all with this 128GB 9T. I love it for what you get for the price.

I've had a 9T for 2 months to the day, as it turns out.

There are some times when I (it) experience(s) lag, mainly in MX Player, just scrolling through the folder listing it's evident.

That app has become a bloated dog with all sorts of (unnecessary) features, in my view being added, so I'm unsurprised.

Also occasional lag in Brave browser if you let browsing data build up too much & don't clear it often enough.

Also, switching from portrait to landscape & vice versa isn't as smooth as I'd expect from a phone with 4 GB RAM.

Another thing to be aware of is "dead boot" which you can read countless accounts of in GSM Arena -

Seems to have affected phones sold in North Africa (Nigeria) and parts of Asia so far, but something to at least be aware of.

Otherwise, it's pretty good value for money, but I'm not blown away by it.

You're a bundle of joy lol.

Thanks for the feedback, definitely some good points to ponder...both positive and negative. MIA currently has the phone on special for R3k. At that price, it is a bargain for what you are getting, especially since it does have a dedicated expansion slot as well and being dual sim, not something you find in a hurry these days and the large battery.

Just telling it as I see it.

I forgot to add 2 additional points to my list, which deal with Xiaomi updates to this model.

Don't know if it affects other model nos., but some people report getting the MIUI 12.5 update through normal OTA channels, while others (like mine) are forever stuck at 12.0.17 .

More of a pain to me is that security patches are still only up to September (1st September, at that) - so 3 full months behind, now.

Are Xiaomi that disorganised that they can't get both lots of updates out timeously, to all these phones around the world ?

Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of getting the POCO X3 GT.

Any thoughts or feedback to assist me in my decision would be highly appreciated.
