Convenience vs outright costs. More than that it's user preference. Test drive both & see what tickles your fancy.

Thanks, but cash comes first tbh. Would love the auto, but eish, moolah talks end of the day.

Either go big or go home
 
I also think in that price range I can go Tucson rather as it's more a family SUV. Will have to think hard if I want to pay another car for 5 years

You can also get a 1 year old, to be honest Hyundai Creta is similarly priced to this and Mokka is a much more premium product

What’s the price difference?

It’s not all about money. Is it worth the pain and suffering of struggling in traffic on a daily basis? That’s worth a fortune to me.

And over five years it probably amounts to less than R100 a month.

I’ll never buy a manual again if I can help it and definitely not for a primary car. If it was a secondary weekend car it would be a maybe but would need to be utterly spectacular to justify it.

Modern automatics also don’t use more fuel (often less) so that’s not even a concern usually.

Also something to remember is that you get the price difference back for an automatic in resale as they sell more easily and for more money.

What's the difference between the 2017 Opel Mokka X 1.4 Turbo Enjoy and the 2017 Opel Mokka 1.4 Turbo Cosmo Auto
Both have the same rims and leather seats. Am I missing something here, because the Enjoy is the baseline and the Cosmos the top dog.

I also noticed there is a lot of extras that does not come standard with the Mokka.

They list it somewhere on the website but don’t use a mobile browser as I tried that first time and for nowhere.

Definitely don’t have the same rims, but not sure about the leather seats.

What options were you referring to? I seem to remember only the full LED, navigation and sunroof to be options behind the Cosmo spec.

Navigation is a bit pointless when you have CarPlay / Android Auto anyway.

I just noticed that the Enjoy and Cosmo can actually make use of the optional extras, like
IntelliLink Navi 900 Infotainment System with 8”screen
Driver Information Centre with
Multi Colour Graphic
PREMIUM LIGHTING PACK
Front Cornering Lamp
LED Headlamps
Directional Headlamp
Control Beam (AFL)
LED Tail Lamp
Sunroof

Which ones of those is a must though you would choose

None of them actually.

No point having separate navigation if you have Apple CarPlay / Android Auto and can use your phone. Unless you plan to go somewhere out of mobile coverage regularly.

The Premium Lighting Pack includes all of those listed below it and would be a nice to have but hardly necessary.

It has DRL’s standard.
 
Test drove an older (2015) Mokka recently. While I enjoyed it I'm a little put off by the price tag (R290,000 all in) considering the 60000km/3 year motor plan expires this year. I'm not sure if I should keep looking or not. :o

Spec many competitors like the Captur, EcoSport, HR-V, Creta, Juke, 2008, Duster, Vitata, C-HR.

Power not that many. Coffee has the 1.4 T with 103kw. For your price you should be able find a CX-3; 500X turbo; Renegade turbo.
