Oi, where the pics and feedback? ;)
Lol I have pics but sadly haven't yet had time to really fame cause work kept me busy and I had to do some studying too, also my screen fell yesterday (bummer, so it's in the livingroom now connected to the TV) IMG_20191115_135227.jpgbut here's some pics and feedback.

So here it is:

Now I checked out the Idle temps and it all looks good so far:

Just a heads up - NZXT Cam sometimes prevents CPU's from dropping to idle clocks - might be worth checking out your idle frequency and temps with it disabled vs enabled

Didn't know that at all, I'll test it later or tomorrow and see how it looks. Luckily I still have CPU-Z on here to compare

I'm so paranoid with my other GPU dying I keep GPU-Z open on my second monitor while gaming and check it the whole time.

relax... if it dies it was meant to be.. everything dies

Do you know what?
When NZXT was running the clock speeds were at 3988MHz but as soon as I disabled it and checked the speeds on CPU-Z the clock speeds hovered between 1396MHz and 1547MHz

I know that feels man

Thought I would share my build with everyone :p

Ryzen is pretty fun to mess around with :) There's a lot to learn for people who like to have a fiddle (and are coming from Intel). Multi-core performance in Handbrake \ Ripbot is solid but came across an issue with how Windows is using the CPU when the workload isn't heavily-threaded (older games in particular from what I've seen). The Ryzen Master software tells me core 4 is the fastest core in my CPU but Windows prefers core 1 for single-threaded work while CCX1 (contains cores 4,5,6) is asleep most of the time.

After digging around online seems MSI have not yet released a B450 bios with CPPC (collaborative processor performance control) enabled. CPPC lets the Windows scheduler assign work to the best performing core \ core complex in single \ lightly-threaded workloads. I'll be keeping half an eye out for that.

It's much of a muchness since I haven't overclocked anything (all cores run at 4.2Ghz under load) but I might someday...would be nice to know the work gets assigned to the fastest core in the system.
