When do you expect to have the 1070 and 1080 - Considering the street release dates

?

Seems I never get a reply on this thread...

Stop asking hard questions, man!

I'm still using the same router I bought 7-8 years ago...have no idea what it's capabilities are. I just use it to get internet to a gigabit switch.

:D

just trying to figure out what routers companies small companies use when they need to host websites and stuff.
This DSL-2750u that I have is proving to be very limited.

At $380 the 1070 is a very good value proposition considering it's more powerful than a Titan X or so they say, I doubt however that it's gonna land at R5700 in SA.

I'm keen to see what the red team has to offer. IIRC, with polaris they're promising vr ready performance at a 'mainstream' price point. What do you guys think this will do to the prices of 970's etc?

Look at Mikrotik, or Cisco. It all depends on your needs.

With the current exchange rate the 1070 will be priced around R7500 from me.

GTX, just for confirmation, is that for the $380 edition or the $450 edition? Are you able to say whether the street date for the custom boards is the same as the "Founders Edition"?

That would be 380$ card.

Won't be able say ,I can only order cards once they available for the public.

Need some help.

I daisy chained my Dell U2515H to a Mecer T99J (or something like that) monitor.
The Mecer keeps blinking every few seconds.

Anyone else on the forum experience this?

The new Nvidia cards look really good, but as I'm team Red will prob not jump ship.

They do, all that worries is pricing. Still not OVERLY convinced on the ASync testing as the "heavy batches" in Ashes had far smaller gaps than I would've expected. What I really don't know is how important Async is at the end of the day.

Anyone have this monitor, Dell SE2416H, what are your thoughts on it?

Monitors in SA seem to be very limited, all stores seem to have a group of the same monitors available.

Hi guys,

I hope you are all doing well. I am currently in Europe and would like to build a gaming PC. I am considering the following system: https://www.mindfactory.de/shopping...2213c6684d0a8a4c09246909c04f1c905ca6d07fc7413

It's in German, but essentially the components are:

i5 6500 CPU
2TB Seagate HDD
650W Corsair CS Gold PSU
16GB G.Skills Ripjaw DDR4 2133 RAM
24" Samsung S24D300H black Monitor
Asus H170 Pro Gaming Motherboard
4GB Sapphire Radeon R9 380
Zalman Z3 Plus case

My concern is that whether the R9 380 isn't too old technology now? I can wait until June and see what Radeon has to offer and might make the 390 a bit cheaper. However, won't that be overkill given my monitor capabilities?

Thanks in advance!

You won't be able to max out many new titles at 1080p on a 380. I would not say a 390 or 970 is overkill for 1080p gaming, new games tax even those GPU where they can't do 60fps at max settings, rise of the tomb raider comes to mind.

If you can get a better gpu.

Thank you ponder. Will try and see if I can get a second hand 970 or 390. Already pushing my budget with the current setup :).

Intel Core I5 6500 3.20ghz Socket 1151
Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX750Ti
Asus Z170-a Motherboard
EVGA 600b1 Bronze Series - 600w ?
Memory ??

I'm putting this machine together in a couple of weeks. This is what I have so far. The only thing I'm not sure on is the power supply and memory. Please could you guys suggest something.

Main purpose of the machine?

That [-]GPU[/-] is more than enough.

EDIT: Oops, I meant PSU above.

A gaming rig mostly.

What games are you gonna play on it and at what resolution?

Z-series MB's are expensive and if you are not going to overclock (you have a 6500 non-OC CPU) it's a waste of money, money that could be better spent on a GPU which probably makes the biggest impact on a gaming system.

What is your budget for btw?
