Why does something have to go in there? I've always had empty PCIe slots on PCs.

I like the board for the power design and aesthetics, it should OC well and will fit perfectly in my aluminium case. Time will tell though when they're actually available and we have pricing.

Weird, man...never bought an SLI or Crossfire capable board...I get the more mainstream chipsets. I'd probably be looking at the B350.

Which components do you still need, mb, cpu, gpu, psu, hdd, lcd, kyb, mouse etc etc?

Will you be overclocking?

What resolution screen do you have or intend buying?

Well any PCI-E device can go into any PCI-E slot, I guess...so more slots the merrier. But SSD's and sound cards use the smaller form factors usually (the B350 I was looking at now has 4 x4 slots).

I have Monitors + Keyboard and Mouse.

Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 AMP ZT-P10700C-10P 8GB GDDR5 256-bit PCI-E 3.0 Desktop Graphics Card
Raijintek Aidos Black Edition 92mm PWM Fan CPU Cooler
Corsair CP-9020051-WW VS650 650W Desktop Power Supply

Monitors? What monitors do you have and do you use multiple for gaming?

Ah ok, that's a 1080p 60Hz panel so you don't really need a GTX 1070. A GTX 1060 6GB or RX 480 8GB will do just fine.

I run a 1440p 60Hz monitor on a 1060 and it's perfectly fine.

Thank you, just the advice I needed.

As far as the rest of the spec's go, how is it looking?
I fear the MB might be over-kill price wise as I can't really tell what it does better, however thats already bought.
I should probably get 16gbs of RAM, but I can always buy more later.

I cant figure out if I should go for a cheaper CPU and overclock or stay with this newer gen.

You mentioned a Z series MB earlier and you specced a non-k cpu which you can't overclock so the Z series MB is wasted.
Secondly drop the i5-7500 as you can get a skylake i5 or i7 for cheaper.

You can save another R500 if you go with a H110M MB but you lose 2x sata ports (6 vs 4), 2x dimm slots (4 vs 2) & a m.2 slot.

I already have the MB it was a gift.
So Intel i5-6600K 3.5 GHz Quad Core Unlocked 14nm Skylake Socket LGA1151 Desktop CPU - Cooler Not Included would probably be better?

Admittedly I've never overclocked anything, but it does seem the wise route to take.

This MB says it supports 6th Gen and thats a 7th Gen CPU, thats why I picked the 6th.

Is there any coolers you could recommend.

And how would this rig be rated, as it is going over the budget quiet a bit now.

Wrt 6gen MB & 7gen CPU you will have to check the MB manufacturers site for a list of supported CPUs, many of the 6gen boards will be able to do 7gen CPUs after a BIOS upgrade.

Let me check...

It's a pretty decent rig cpu wise, overall it depends on the gpu you gonna pick.

Wrt coolers does you case have space for a rad/fans (liquid cooling)? Alternatively you can go with that cooler you specced for now and later upgrade to a decent one when you start overclocking?
