Ouch!!!

That is rough, I just started building a system, after too many years with the same old laptop. :(
Yup prices are rocketting, 250 SSDs were R520 to R700 are now R800 upwards. It's ridiculous.

Flip, and I want 2, one for my 7-8 year old laptop, and one for my desktop in creation.

SIGH!!!
Yup, though there was talk of this happening in Jan already, apparently NAND pricing went up.

Anyone used Klevv memory (the one Evetech sells)?

Looking at an upgrade kit but not sure whether it's decent or if I should rather try get some Corsairs.

Looking at a 3600 bundle.

Sorry nope, I'm kitted out in G-Skill Trident and Ripjaw in my two machines.

Which klevvs you looking at?

There are basically 3 major ram manufacturers Micron (which corsair uses a lot), Samsung & Hynix (klevv used these not sure if they still do).

I remember when Hynix were just starting to make RAM, got some sticks and I was like what is Hynix...

They've actually been around since the early 80s under the Hyundai brand name, they're a massive semiconductor company (top3). When one hears the Hyundai name you think cars which only came much later.

But I don't think we got them in the 90s though? As I only saw my first stick late 90s? Before that it was Samsung and Micron.

Well seems like Wootware is having a field day with their pricing. Yesterday's price of the Radeon RX 5700 XT was R9099... today around 5pm it was R9299... and now at 22h45 it's R9499.

... oh, Ryzen 7 just went up by R200 LOL
The 1600af is now R2699, was R2199 3 weeks ago. The Asrock B450 i paid R1399 for is now R1629 and the memory I paid R1599 is now R1649 smallest jump
So the same build that cost me R5400 two weeks ago is now R5977.

They coining it gsp 350 now R2200, was R1500 when lockdown started. Until the suppliers open up, they will probably get away with it.
