Hey guys, currently on wootware, there is a RTX 2080 SUPER going for R8000. Correct me if im wrong but this is a killer deal right? Should I get it or is there something I dont know?

Whats with the waterforce? Not too sure what that is. But if its between this and lets say the 5700XT, what would you pick?
That is a really good deal, my 2060 super in June was R7500. Ah but it's got a water cooler so that might be why it's cheaper.

Looking at adding a ram chip to a notebook but have a few questions.... the current chip is ddr4 2666 CL19, voltage 1.2.... the chip I'm looking at adding is a different brand and CL17, also ddr4 2666 and voltage 1.2.... so ideally one would want same brand and same specification ram but am I making a massive mistake using a different brand with a lower CL rating?

TIA
Anyone?

Hi all,

Need some advice.
Got a AMD 5800X, i know these cpu's run hot, so i replaced my old corsair aio 115 ( i think that's the model, its about 6 years old ) after it started making popping noise. Taking it out, sounds like the water is much less inside due to evaporation I'm guessing.
Got the H100X in it's place, these come with SP 120 fans. But d%ner, these things are loud! The temps jump quite quick as well, stable it would be 30 Celcius, just by opening an application or a window, temps jump to 40's and then the fans start talking.

Playing a game or stressing the CPU to see where the max temps land, i got 71 Celcius, which isn't probably too bad, but i really can't enjoy a game while the fans are that loud.

Should i replace the fans? if so what are decent options out there that perform well and isn't as loud. It's a front-mounted rad, so i don't see the fans, so no worries about rgb and lighting.

So far what i could gather on the web
The H100x vs H100i is one being from CoolIT and the other from Asetek. To reduce costs, the H100X has no rgb ( i knew that ) and has SP fans instead of the ML found on the H100i.

Going onto google, The H100i gets a lot of mention to be quiet? Could that come down to the ML fans? Should i just buy the corsair ML 120mm.

Maybe someone here could shed some info on the ML fans if they own them?

I have the H115i Pro which has the ML fans. They are quieter than the Phanteks case fans they're working with while running about 200 rpm faster (3 140mm case fans vs the 2 140 mm fans on the radiator).

Not sure if that's a helpful comparison or not. Overall I'm pretty happy with the H115i - does a good job without any fuss.

Fans are fooked, factory issue it seems.
Took my old Coolermaster static pressure fans and they are noisy as is. Even they were quiet compared to the stock SP fans on the corsair rad.

Anyone know why NZXT cases are so scarce? :crying: Been looking for a H400i for aaaaages

Try setting the Fusion preference with the app open, then close the app. As long as it is something that doesn't need sampling, like music then the RGB does it's thing with zero CPU usage.
If I leave it sampling for music then a see 5% CPU usage. The memory usage is around 120 MB whether the app is open or not.
This is on the lastest version , Fusion 2 B20 12.10.01

Thanks, I was on Fusion 2 B20 12.10.01. My biggest gripe with Fusion is it seems to install some kind of device that breaks DaVinci Resolve, a video editor that I use for my crappy videos.

When it starts up it scans for devices it deems media related and tries to find their settings applet. After installing Fusion mine just locked up at "looking for control surface". I thought it was my webcam as some user reported that along with headsets causing the issue. Turns out it was Fusion.

OpenRGB is way better, it does not install a lot of crap along side with it.

Seems GigaByte pulled all beta BIOS versions for the B550. I had F11n and then F11p but now they are gone.

Hi everyone,
Random question, do I need to update my BOIS to improve performance as I just bought a RTX 3070 or wont it make any deference?
Thanks in advance.
