Yea I probably should have been more clear there, sorry. No maintenance really, just more potential points of failure. They can leak and if it does, that's potentially your PC up in smoke. Additionally, they do lose water over time and aren't refillable so it will need replacement at some point. An air-cooler can't fail, it's just a block of metal. The fans could fail but they can be replaced. I say this as someone also running an AIO. Then again, quality has improved over the years so maybe it isn't an issue now. Thanks so much, helpful suggestions here. Why you say "avoid maintenance of an AIO?" I have no experience besides my own single purchase but my cooler master water cooling lasted 3 years without issue, didn't make noise which is nice, but didn't keep it as cool as I'd hoped (80c under load with turbo for 7700K), so your suggestion with 12-gen heat makes sense. Just scared of having a potential jet engine noise.
I've seen all the complaints about Evetech here but they're so much cheaper, bought from them before with no problem but I hear you.
The issue with Evetech is they are cheaper, but their after sale / warranty service is pathetic, bordering on criminal. There are a lot of articles about but the R300 extra is worth it for a supplier who will honour warranty claims without hassle. That piece of mind alone is worth the extra.
