Hey MyBB Thought I’d ask the question again this year considering we have more information on next gen intel CPU’s and Nvidia GPUs

Current build is looking as follows

Cpu: Intel i5 12400
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060 TI

Would it be worth it to wait for the 13th gen intel chips ?

And for the RTX 3060 TI would the next gen be worth a wait and looking at the price of the 4070TI the extra cost

Also considering there’s no ETA for any of this that I know off

Gaming Laptop fan died so probably need this gaming pc done half way through the year can go longer if it is worth doing so

13th gen has been out for a while, i would go go for cheaper none X AMD chips coming out soon :)

I would def add something extra 4070ti, much faster card and support DLSS v3

Unfortunately the 4070ti is way out of budget the 4070ti is the total of my machine

Budget won’t allow for anymore than an i5 non K processor had a 6 core i7 laptop and it’s enough for my use case

Budgeting about 20k but can go to about 23k max on the entire build

Edit : I’d probably play at 1440p and don’t mind dropping some settings to play at 4K with dlss that should be possible (playing on a 4K tv )

What's wrong with the deal?

I think Steve summed it up pretty well here:

So rather go with NVIDIA than AMD Radeon?

And which CPU cooler do you recommend?

Pricing has gone up by the looks of it, 5600 was 2899 now 3079 hmm. Ram has gone down a bit

Hmm does mini dp to DP v1.3 or higher exsist in SA? struggling to find it.

Need it for 1440p 240hz external display on laptop, atm limited to 144hz
