Would the AM4 platform support resizable bar for the 6800 XT
Hi guys
Wanted to ask about the new NVIDIA cards being worth it ? Seen some reviews on the new 4060Ti and 4070 not being worth the cost
Is AMD a better option looking at the 3070 mostly 1440p gaming but will also hook up to a 4K tv and game as well seems the 3070 can handle some 4K with DLSS
But also saw that the AMD RX 6800 XT which is around the same cost as a 3070 beats it significantly so for the future is it better to go AMD or is NVIDIA with their DLSS better for games in the future ?
Also saw someone saying the 8GB of VRAM could be an issue for the future ?
Does anyone know what the import duties and taxes will be on a PC case?
It depends on local pricing. For example, the 4080 is terrible value compared to the 7900 XTX if both are MSRP, but when both are priced similarly and you value ray tracing performance, suddenly the 4080 looks like a good idea.
DLSS - it is nice, but it's not perfect, and it becomes less effective at resolutions lower than 4K.
8GB - not if you want to play at 4K with RTX. Hogwarts Legacy already needs more than that.
I keep seeing people talking about VRAM issues but I don't think any of these people own the cards they're talking about.
My 3070 Plays Hogwarts Legacy at 1440p with everything maxed and Ray-Tracing enabled. Without RTX I average around 100FPS, sometimes 130, sometimes 80. VRAM becomes an issue at higher resolutions, but the cards designed for those resolutions typically have additional VRAM.
