de Villers looks quite well now that he is in form, hope he can take it with him to England.
But then again, he can't play like that in England as they always have to be careful because someone at the top failed or something.
As well as M. Morkel now that I think about it.
the last IPL match he was in: AB de Villiers not out 59 23 256.52 3 5

He's not the No 1 ranked Test and No 2 ODI batsman in the world for nothing.
I see Levi was benched in the last Mumbai Indians IPL match. Apart from his first match he hasn't done too well. If he doesn't get another few chances and have a good couple of innings his IPL career will be over. So will have to wait and see if he is included in the SA team for the England series.
There used to that SA specialist T20 bowler that played for Punjab a few seasons back (that year it came here). Played a couple games for us too IIRC. Yusuf something, I think?
Edit: Found him:

"Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) has declined with regret the invitation from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to play a series of One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International matches next month.
“Unfortunately there are too many practical obstacles that prevent us from accepting this commitment,” commented CSA Acting CEO Jacques Faul.
“At the moment most of our senior Proteas are spread around the world in England and India and those who are at home are undergoing rehabilitation from injuries picked up during the past season.
“We also have to bear in mind that the Proteas’ Castle Lager squad has a hectic schedule ahead of it with very important tours to England and Australia with the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka sandwiched in between."
So send a very young group.... FFS
Watch how these tools jump when the Aussies or English want to send a squad over.

Things are looking better and better for the Proteas in regards to the upcoming tour of England.
The South African strike force of Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel is in top form, and they are far and away the best fast bowlers on display in this edition of the IPL. Kevin Pietersen plays in the same team as Morne Morkel at the Delhi Daredevils and I am sure the message will go back to the English camp that they are in for a torrid time against the two South African speedsters come July.
Morne Morkel has improved in every respect as a bowler. He has been a real threat in test cricket for some time but there was always a bit of doubt over his ability to campaign successfully at one-day level. The reason was that he was comfortable bowling one length and one length only, which is just short of a full length. Sometimes in one day cricket this doesn't pay off, particularly in the latter part of the innings.
In the past Morkel struggled to bowl a good yorker. Consistency in this respect was a real issue for him. This has changed radically and during this tournament he has bowled the yorker at will. Even more importantly he has bowled it successfully under pressure at the end of the innings. He bowled a match-winning second-last over against the Rajasthan Royals by hitting the blockhole just about every time he tried.
It comes as no surprise that Morkel is currently the proud owner of the purple cap for the highest wicket-taker in the competition. He intimidates the opposition in his first spell with good hostile pace bowling and then comes back at the end with a variety of slower deliveries and yorkers. He is quickly developing into the complete package.
On the other hand Dale Steyn continues to be on fire with the new ball. He has bowled a couple of brilliant opening spells in this tournament, both of them against the fancied Mumbai Indians. In the process he destroyed his Protea teammate Richard Levi twice, although the consolation for Levi is that most international batsmen would have been dismissed by the deliveries he received from Steyn.
The frustration for Steyn is that he plays in a very weak side. Good as his contributions are, they are not match-winning ones because the rest of the team is not competing at this level. The Deccan Chargers is a classic example of a team filled with very average Australian overseas players due to the fact that they have an Australian coach.
This approach is not working for them, and they are a far cry from the team that won the second edition of the IPL under the leadership of Adam Gilchrist.
Hopefully both Steyn and Morkel will remain fit and strong and retain their form ahead of the England tour. Vernon Philander had a good start for Somerset in the UK during the early part of the county season. He has since dropped off through injury but if he recaptures his sublime form, South Africa will boast a formidable pace attack later this year in England.
Jacques Kallis will complete the four-prong attack. The great man is labouring a bit during this year's IPL, but by the time he gets to England motivation won't be a problem. He battled on the last tour of the United Kingdom and he will be determined to sign off his career on English soil in emphatic fashion.
All the signs are good so South African supporters can be quietly confident going into the English tour, which will after all be the battle for the No 1 spot on the world test-playing stage.
Yeah I'm not sure where he gets this from though:
There's only 2 Aussies and 3 Saffers in the squad. The Deccan Chargers is a classic example of a team filled with very average Australian overseas players due to the fact that they have an Australian coach.
The Aussies that have been on show, bar the late arrivals have been poor and are average.
Even KP came out saying more English players should be playing the IPL instead of 2nd rate Aussies.
