pink game at the Wanderers, we win the toss, send them in first, they tare our attack a new one and score like 445.

QDK, Hash and AB go in score a 100 each, AB breaks his own record, and we win the game on the last ball wiht a 6 from Morris.

that is the game I want to see. I know it wont happen, but man would that be amazing to see.

Hehe, after seeing the Aussies in SL in the tests, I'm leaning towards preparing dust bowls like we got when we went to India. 3 day tests...average second innings team total of 120...win by the odd run or wicket.

Bavuma off to a good limited over start, with a century in the Kasi challenge.

Grant Mokoena frustrates me to no end, so much talent never really exploited. I hope the century today is a sign of things to come.

First time I saw Grant Mokoena was playing for the Lions, he hits a big six, next ball chase a wide delivery and his out. He has Talent let's hope Mark Boucher get the best out off him. Mangaliso Mosehle frustrates me the most, he a good batsman that gets out playing to many shots. Bjorn Fortuin batting at no.9, Lions have long batting line up.

Managed to catch some of this iKhasi challenge match yesterday. Looked quite entertaining. Glad to see Bavuma getting some runs. He's carrying his test form over to the shorter format nicely and this will hopefully continue during the Aussie series.

I had to laugh at the amount of balls that got lost though. Fourth umpire covered some serious mileage running out to to the middle with his suitcase :D

Starc isn't injured. He isn't being rested, same for hazlewood.
 
Thami Tsolekile has denied allegations of assaulting a minor

Thami Tsolekile, the former South Africa wicketkeeper, has appeared in court over alleged assault of a minor. He has denied the allegations.

Tsolekile appeared at the Goodwoods Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning. He was accused of forcing a 14-year-old boy into his car in Cape Town, and assaulting him. Tsolikele claimed the boy had thrown stones at his car. The case has been adjourned until October 10.

In August, CSA banned Tsolekile for 12 years for "contriving to fix" matches during the 2015 Ram Slam T20 tournament. Tsolekile, 35, played three Test matches for South Africa in 2004.

We can get a thread going closer to the time, but here's the itinerary for the Proteas' tour to the UK next year. It's a beaut!

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Wednesday announced the itineraries for the Standard Bank Proteas and the South Africa ‘A’ tours of Britain in 2017.

The Proteas will play four test matches, three one-day Internationals and three T20 International matches against England while South Africa ‘A’ will play three ‘A’ 50 overs matches against the England Lions as well as one ‘A’ four-day match.

The ICC Champions Trophy Tournament, which is also in England during June 2017, will take place between the Proteas’ one-day and T20 series against England.

“This is going to be both an exciting and challenging time for our Proteas,” commented CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat.

“Test matches in England are always special and, together with the ECB, we have agreed a schedule that gives us a good chance to prepare for the ICC Champions Trophy. We can all anticipate some thrilling cricket in 2017.

“By having South Africa ‘A’ touring England at the same time, we can take full advantage of making sure that all our players are exposed to English conditions and ready for any call up.

“By announcing these fixtures well in advance we are hoping that our loyal fans will travel to support our Proteas in England,” concluded Lorgat.

ECB Chief Executive Officer Tom Harrison commented: “With England also hosting the ICC Champions Trophy and the ICC Women’s World Cup next season in addition to the two South African men’s tours as well as the West Indies, 2017 promises to be a hugely exciting summer of cricket – and a strong platform to promote our sport to an even wider and more diverse audience.”

2016: Year In Review

It started off so bad when South Africa failed for the third time in a row to win a home series against England. Then it got a little worse. They were booted out of the World T20 in the first round and did not make the final of a triangular series in the Caribbean against West Indies and Australia. By mid-year, South Africa were in crisis, coach Russell Domingo's job was under threat, and a national and domestic review was planned.

But it ended up so good. Even though the initial independent investigation into the performance of the country's top cricket teams was canned and the Test and ODI captain AB de Villiers spent several months injured, South Africa staged a spectacular turnaround and beat Australia in ODIs at home and Tests away to end 2016 with hope.

Yep. But the offer on the table is tough to pass up for any man to be honest...

Abbott, 29, has a three-year deal on the table from county outfit Hampshire – worth over £500 000 (about R9 million) in total – with the option of a fourth year, and a national contract doesn’t quite match those numbers, even with match fees and bonuses.

Why can cricket players not play for team and country even when team is in another country? Is that because playing overseas gives the team preference over being called up for your country when dates clash?
 
In football you specific windows for international games hence why its not an issue. Cricket doesn't have these windows and probably never will because the weather disrupts cricket way more then any other sport.

The county cricket offers are going to be a big problem. The only ones immune from it are the guys with big IPL deals like Miller and Morris and the established starters in the team. Guys on the fringes will take the chance, especially now with Brexit possibly closing this kolpak loophole soon.
