He was pinned due to not revealing everything first time he met with the investigators.

Seems you are right.

Among Petersen's transgressions are four counts of failing to disclose details of an approach to engage in corrupt conduct; four of failing to disclose evidence of another participant breaching the code; four of failing to cooperate with the investigators by not providing accurate and complete information; and one of concealing and destroying information relevant to the investigation.

SA 'A' seeks further improvements

Cape Town - The South Africa 'A' team will be looking to make it three wins from three and book their place in the One-Day triangular series final when they take on India 'A' in their latest match at the Tuks Oval in Pretoria on Thursday.

The hosts have won both of their matches with bonus points to top the table ahead of the Indians on net run-rate, with winless Afghanistan 'A' propping up the standings.

Captain Khaya Zondo is hoping they can maintain their 100 percent record, although he wants to see some improvements in the batting.

They beat the Afghans convincingly, but only just snuck past India in the opening match, winning by two wickets.

"I thought we've had two clinical performances so far," Zondo said.

"It's just a matter of doing that again. Everyone's been superb so far.

"The only thing now when we play India is that we need to make sure we do well with the bat because the last time the bowlers won us the game.

"Now it's just a matter of the batters doing well by posting big targets if we bat first in the game or win us the game if we are chasing."

With 178 runs in two innings, Reeza Hendricks has been the stand-out batsmen for SA 'A', while the bowling responsibilities have been shared with five wickets each from Dwaine Pretorius and Aaron Phangiso as well as four for Tabraiz Shamsi.

Zondo is happy with what he has seen so far.

"The guys have been very good," he added. "We had a good start against India with a bonus-point win and we followed that up nicely with another bonus-point win over Afghanistan.

"So the start has been good and we just need to keep the form going and keep the basics going with the bat and the ball. We also need to make sure we stay in our own bubble and remain focussed for the remaining games."

All matches will be streamed live at www.cricket.co.za.

I would have really loved to see this side tested by the Australia A team to see our bench strength

+1
Playing against two subcontinent teams in South africa is not a true test of our bench strength.

This sounds more like a warning than "advice" to the would be coach to me...

While he has accepted that Russell Domingo's time as coach is almost certainly up, Du Plessis encouraged whoever the new coach was to think twice before getting rid of Neil McKenzie (batting coach), Charl Langeveldt (bowling coach) and Claude Henderson (spin bowling coach).

I would keep Henderson and Langeveldt though personally. Batting coach either has drawn up bad strategy or the batsmen just are not listening anyway and are doing their own thing. Either way, has to go imo.

Maybe there's just too many damn coaches.
Next they'll have a drinks break coach and a sledging coach.

Awkward! Ex-Proteas fight on Twitter over the AB issue

Former stalwarts Ashwell Prince and Paul Harris clearly didn’t see eye to eye over the appropriate platform for the discussion…

The sparks flew between ex-Proteas Ashwell Prince and Paul Harris on Twitter over a tweet posted by another of their former teammates, Herschelle Gibbs.

Gibbs was reacting to Proteas Test skipper Faf du Plessis saying AB de Villiers had “earned the right” to decide when he wants to play Tests.

De Villiers earlier this year controversially decided not to play in the five-day format in order to “preserve” his body for the 2019 World Cup.

Twitter takes no prisoners - even the "gentlemen" of sport.

Best to stfu on a public platform and let AB do whatever he wants.

Serious question: why is AB saving himself for another world cup, when he clearly buckles under pressure???

His attitude towards the team at the moment and selectively making himself available, could result in not being considered for the team come world cup time. Who's to say there will not be others more reliable than him.

If the India A series is a straight shootout for the opening slot between Cook and Markram, Cook is winning so far.
