The push for a digital-only financial system.

Observation over the last several years, but especially in the last 2 - 3 months, in SA.....

Retail customers paying with cash are increasingly being treated as 2nd-class citizens.

I have my own suspicions as to why this is happening.

Just this week a teacher in Ireland had their bank account frozen for declining to use gender pronouns (a case of compelled speech).

Note: It would be very different if the plan was to run a dual system perpetually, which made digital-payments purely opt-in. (The clue is the fact there is a plan to eliminate cash. Free markets deprive control-freaks of the ability to dictate prices and quality. The natural tendency in a free market would be lowest-sustainable prices for the preferred quality)

No, it's only you

The head of media at the World Economic Forum told Reuters that the quotes were both fabricated. Reuters was also unable to find any evidence of either man making the comments

This is only trending on tin foil hat sites and 50yr old men in their basement with webcam… :)

You’re welcome for saving you from it. I take hugs as payments .
Factcheck website link please.

Hang-on....

I seem to recall Reuters being among the media organizations receiving funding from Gates/Gates Foundation during the plandemic.

Can someone fact-check that?

(please don't give me a link to Reuters.... my question concerns conflict of interest)

Also, they say Schwab would never say that, and doesn't believe that, but I'd doubt they'd deny he said you will be happy without the right to private property. Which ofc is all about control of the masses.

How about you rather give video source with him actually saying it? Would save everyone a heap time..

If you sincerely believe he said it, should be easy right?

If you haven't heard the WEF quote: You'll own nothing and be happy.... then you, my friend, have been living under a giant, meteor-sized legacy media rock.

Come out and get some sunshine, for God's sake.

It's affecting your judgement.

Lol, Reuters is a global news agency. One of the leading for decades.

You're confusing it with fake news about Reuters from basement-dwellers...

So zero evidence that he actually said that about Covid then...

Can't agree on the teacher issue, presuming that like in England the Irish call their private schools "public". No argument, fired teacher went too far. Doesn't matter if he was right by other considerations.

Cashless only - why on earth are some trying to defend that??
Sure, like all systems cash has some disadvantages. But it's the best way to ensure privacy, freedom of movement and choice. Always has been.
And I've got news for all of you who think cashless is some sort of hero direction, repeating what you've been taught like parrots - cash will ALWAYS survive in Africa, the causal markets of each country won't hear otherwise.

Have to wonder about some of the characters in this thread. Really, what kind?

So zero evidence that he actually said that about Covid then...
Dude... he's like those regularly found giving up smoking.... he's constantly recovering from foot-in-mouth disease.

4 years ago, following the lockdown hysteria, your friend Klaus said this:

Ze challenges of ze future... and ze opportunities of ze future, can only be seized sru co-operative efforts between govts and business.

Echoing the father of Fascism, who defined Fascism as the merger between state and corporate power.

Let that sink in.

Besides, did you not listen to Milei's speech when he was hosted at Davos?

He completely exposed them for the Marxist charlatan-economists that they are.... to their faces.

You agree it's for you to put into context what is literally said and what is actually done, right? Cos, it's not always what is literally said. Schwab will champion meritocracy over bureaucracy, at the same time he champions individuals relinquishing property rights to governments around the world and brags about the WEF's infiltration into Western govt's parliamentary ranks.

Wake up Cray!

All you have to do is post the link. All your other waffle is meaningless in the context of you calling into question the debunking of a BS quote attributed to him. Post the evidence and then I will read the rest of what your post, at the moment you are just trying to deflect because you have no evidence

Conditional truth?

That's a new one
I asked him for evidence of something, if he wants to engage honestly he should either back up his claim or admit he can't back it up, all the other nonsense he wrote is irrelevant to that initial point of conversation.

I asked him for evidence of something, if he wants to engage honestly he should either back up his claim or admit he can't back it up, all the other nonsense he wrote is irrelevant to that initial point of conversation.

But it's an old point now, looked to me like the subject moved on.

If you're coming to the Parkmore Meet, pleez note, I don't usually hug. Sorry, ne

Do you use pronouns as well?

But it's an old point now, looked to me like the subject moved on.
He keeps trying to change the subject, I keep trying to get him to back up his initial comment. If he had the honesty to admit he has no evidence then the conversation could move on but I have no interest in further conversation if he thinks he can just waive away his statements as if they don't mean anything.

Why can't I call into question your debunking?

All you can say is you don't have the source of the quote, not that he doesn't believe its true.

If you read with the intent to make sense of what this guy actually believes - cos we all know the politically connected's intentions and track-records are as pure as the driven snow - it should be clear his organization is back of the economic advice acted on by Western governments going back 50 years.

Which has led us all to the edge of a fiscal cliff (re-read earlier about where the Western govts and private citizens stand in terms of bankruptcy).

There's some context for you.
