I have 2 P5K and after pencil vdroop mod they are great overclockers 
Have the 120 aquagate with the fan blowing out as well. Think i am going to "bolt" it on now and see what happens

strange it does not work you maybe yours is very old because it only has a 2 year life span

nah just over a year old, just put it back into action and learned something new, the E8000 series seems is capable of running passive. I put my block on and connected the fan power but did not connect the cpu "fan" (h8 being drunk and working on pc's) and the temps i was getting was exactly the same asi got with the stock cooler and i am running at 3.2

ASUS P5K? Looks like a gr8 MB. DDR2 1066

As i say i have 2 of them and the only prob was the vdroop which is fixed by a little lead and 10 seconds effort
